Hello, I own a Zotac Nvidia GT 220 with 1024 Mb DDR3 and i realised that video play back capabilities are broken since ForceWare 260.89. I use Windows 7 Ultra 32 bit SP1 and MPC-HC to playback videos in several resolutions and refresh rates. When i try to playback a video content for example at 1080p 24Hz or 23hz then there is shuttering in video but this is "low level" shuttering because there is no report of frame dropping nor resync frames in MPC. This happens with all video players and using different renderers and decoding by hardware and software. If i rollback to ForceWare 258.96 then video playback is rock solid but i can't take advantage of new Forceware 280.26 and Youtube DXVA playback capabilities.. I read some where that there is BIOS issues in other branded Video Cards since ForceWare 260.89. ¿What can i do to resolve my video playback issues since ForceWare 260.89? i'm alone? Best regards,
Your using a 5 year old video card and I don't think anyone in here is going to be able to help you, let alone replicate your issue. Maybe email Nvidia and see what they can do?
Oooh Sorry but Gt 220 production date is October 12, 2009. This card is PV4 compliant and supposed to be good for HTPC. I need people with same configuration than me and i know that is difficult on 3D gamers guru forum, but i'll try. Already contacted Zotac but no reply.
Thank you AlcapwN but are 260 and later the problematic drivers. 280 introduces browser Flash Player DXVA hardware acceleration but i can't install any driver newer than 258 without playback issues. Wrong forum for this question? maybe
Wouldn't say wrong forum, though many people on here are all about gaming, and high end cards, so you might not get the best answer, this might be a better place to ask though. http://forums.guru3d.com/forumdisplay.php?f=50 Wish i could help, but personally, i have noticed no such issue, and i am on 285.62, i even turn on frame interpolation, as even though i hate it and don't use it for watching stuff, when it comes to testing, it does help show any framerate issues due to drivers/decoders.
The WHQL driver for a 200 series is the 285.62 not 285.69 Your using a mobile driver ,its been used with no issue on another laptop with no issues ,but still why use it when the .62 is the WHQl cert driver ?. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=353256
