yah i only use the ones official released by intel, dont use the dozen and dozen that on winraid. I See it as if it not released on intels site there is probably reason.

I also dont OC it not my cup tea nor do i patience to do so. it why my new pc will have one those 4ghz base intel chips, short of x99 build becoming cheaper again, but the mobo usual off sets that price. 6 core + is nice but STP is still king

The winraid ones are official drivers from intel. Intel does not always post these drivers on their website and instead manufacturers put these for download such as asus gigabyte etc..

Ensures the SSDs do not go into a lower power state, which reduces performance.

    OK guys,bit of update

Friend borrowed me her i7-5820k and looks like with 5820k I'm getting much better IOPS

Not sure why with E5 2683 v3 I'm getting such low IOPS numbers, but I will be getting again new Xeon in few days,I will be pulling one from our workstations and will see,if with other one or with different one I will get better IOPS,if not then I think,I will be running i7-5820k for time being and E5 2683 v3 for rendering

    Thanks,Jura

    Thanks TJ for heads up

Right now I'm not 100% sure if I will install this,I will have new Xeon(pulled from our workstations) and test that again,if doesn't improve then I will install this iRST

    Thanks,Jura

not sure this helps you but this what SSD look like on z170 C1E/c-states on or off speedstep enable bios but disable in windows do to max performance power scheme with Intel RTS v14.8.0.1042 , MEI 11.0.0.1166 which what OS installed

the IOP on my drive is now here as impressive as your but 850 series is much faster then 830 series in the department, these pretty much double for READ speeds write isnt a whole lot faster what i was getting limited to statII

    Hi there

Looks in my opinion great, did you tried to play with settings in BIOS like Speedstep or C1E etc ?

I've not played with the settings as right now I'm very happy and end of the week I should have here new Xeon, not ES but normal Xeon and will test that, but looks like I will be keeping 5820k for now as my friend will be getting i7-6700k

Thanks again for heads up there:thumbup:

    Thanks,Jura

The above is with Intel RTS v14.8.0.1042 (f6flpy-x64)

This is with defualt drivers so might want to see what your iop are with default drivers hell even AS SSD scores are up 100 vs Intel RTS v14.8.0.1042
