I have seen a few 39 inch 4k tvs of this brand come through my work. Be crazy to see 4k eyefinity with 2x r 92 295x2.

cost is sorta coming down, now we just need 24inch or small at 4k-2k range and video cards that can handle those resolutions and not fail terrible at it

if these sport DP 1.3, does that mean they can display 4k@120hz?

Since the press release mentioned 60hz, that's quite an assumption.

Agreed. This is why I went eyefinity actually. Already had a 25inch 1080p monitor, added two 17 inch 128x1024 monitors and game at 4464x1018. It I can play all games at high settings with 40fps avg. I used to want a 4k monitor but really I just want 3x 16:9 monitors now.

I'd rather have 120hz+ input become a standard rather than 4k at the moment. 4k is where the money is at though.

^this. It's a pretty clear difference to me when looking at 720p at 120hz vs 1080p at 60. My brain prefers the 720p just because it's so much smoother. I'd much rather the image be smooth than the pixels be even smaller than they already are. It's not like 1080p is horrendous by any means. I'm loving QHD now, but I really don't want a 4k screen at 27". I can't see what improvements that would offer.

^this... I just did the same thing. Ive played on a 32" 4k on a system that handles it just fine. It does look really... "crisp" and was nice.. BUT! I already have a 27" 1080p IPS and they went on sale a few weeks ago and deciding to eat like a college freshman for a month I picked up 2 more. I CANNOT BE ANY HAPPIER! 5760x1080 is amazing. Obviously if 3x4k was even remotely an option for me I would like that better.. but its not.

Once you go ultrawide you cant go back. After having played nothing but 3-wide for a week and then trying BF Hardline beta which I cant max at that res with my SLI 580s I tried bumping it down to 1920x1080 and put it on the middle monitor.. but it was sooo tiny lol. It made me willing to drop from max settings down a bit just to run 45-50ish fps at 5760x1080.

Ever since I got a second 580 (and now a 780 ti) I've been indulging in triplewide too and I put off buying BF4 (apart from the crapton of bugs) because I was having so much fun in Bad Company 2 where I could run everything maxed (even AA) in 5760x1080
That game runs well on a potato

I'd rather have one of those ASUS 27" (or is it 28"?) Gsync 2K 120hz monitors coming out in all honesty.

There is a guy on oc.net that has a 4k surround benchmark thread. I don't think he is using 295x2's though.

He is using x3 of those Seiki TV's.

To the poster above...yeah the ROG swift looks to be one badass monitor. It should be coming out soon. It is a TN panel, but from what I have heard it is suppose to be a "special" TN panel. If IQ is even somewhat close to IPS, I will be buying one. Definitely waiting for reviews first though.

me too I prefer having 120hz rather than 4k, the smoothness its just so amazing... but then again, the media seems to be capped at 23-24fps for movies and little else goes beyond 30fps.. so sad..

If it really does 60hz, im looking forward to the 40U4SEP-G02, i just dont like scalling on windows, and a 28'' for 4k imo its way to small, 40'' and 4k is the perfect match.

I will stick with my Hazro 1440p since I am waiting for that time when gaming @ 1440p with single GPU on ULTRA will be possible and not just my dream.

Yeah right, ill spend some nice cash on gpu and stuff to do 4k, and then save 5$ and buy a VA panel based screen...

Well VA panel is better then TN, almost like PVA with nice contrast and blacks. IPS has very nice colors but lacks contrast a bit, TN lacks both and with low viewing angle.

I sometimes sit from the side and would be kinda annoyed to be limited by this low 160° view angle.

Vram issue? I ran Hardline beta no problem all high settings almost always 60fps.
I tired single screen too at 1080p and I cant do it no more either. I dont play games if I cant go 3 screens in the game. Its crazy.
