lost post count

i have a question.last time ilogged on i had 50+ posts and the status of a member due to server problems its been about a week or so since ive logged on but now i have a post count of 34 and have been relegated back to newbie status whats going on here?? it isnt really a big deal but im a bit curious what the cause could be.
