Bench A should be banned. I never got reproductible results. Last time on dx11 in Test3 I was sitting in a whole with 200 guns pointed at me, same time GPU usage drop to 77% and CPU usage freezed at 100% as I was running in the same time Intel burn test in the background:3eyes:.

Why are you afraid of BenchB?? Give it a shot as it runs pretty smoothy on my rig with one 5870 @dx11, 1920x1200, MSAA 8x, Dx11 high, rest on high (check screen):).

    CrossfireX will blow a GTX 480 without problemz in this bench. If I compare my 38.4 (with one 5870 @default) with morbias 46.4FPS (his GTX 480 @ 825 / 1650 / 4200) I get a performance increase, GTX 480 vs 5870, of only 17.24%.

I disabled/enabled CrossfireX and renamed LP2DX11.exe to Metro2033.exe and managed to run BenchA. BenchB crashed instantly. Now I tried to run again Bench A and it freeze in the menu without any kind of error message. If I press escape jumps to desktop without any errors:3eyes:. I have Vista 64.

    ya.
I already know that gtx480 is hotter and higher power than hd5870 but its aren't importants and I like too performance gtx480. :D I already make consense (new PSU, new UPS, new cpu...) before my upgrade. :p

eVGA is excellent because it has the access to 10-years warranty. :D but evga gtx480 isn't available yet in Europe during weeks until now. :(

lol because 2D games require a lot of power :D

anyway the game seem very well optimized for multicore cpus, personally i really like the MT Framework engine, actually some of
the DX11 effects (the water for instance) is one of the best i've seen since crysis.

also i'm not an overclocker, none of my hardware is o/c'd (if you count out Intel Turbo Boost, up to 3.46ghz when single threading) so i only buy higher range hardware, money is no problem but i don't like to overspend,
i buy exactly what i need (with an eye on futureproofing) and save some for the future in case i need it later :p

Everytime I see a single GTX 480 DX11 benchmark result it just makes me die a little more inside. :(

It's an NVIDIA benchmark, developed with NVIDIA hardware in mind, so it's more than obvious that it makes ATI look bad.
If you remember, the first Lost Planet was exactly the same, runned like ass on ATI, with lots of artifacts. Now is one of the most ATI optimised games :)

In 3d programs IK stands for Inverse Kinematics. This is used in a character's skeleton to automatically bend joints depending on the position of the child of that joint. So in other words you can place a foot where you want it and move body and the knee will bend accordingly.

I'm not sure what the quality would change unless the IK system is based on some kind of physics. In any case I hope this makes sense...

    ok cool tnx,

well i tried high, but i wasn't so sure what to look for,.. although i saw more accurate physics particle movements - when you destroy those flying insects and in bench B i saw that huge beast moving more fluidly and with more smoke around it when hit,.. could be just my imagination though lol..especially now that you mentioned what it is :nerd:
