Lose connection? 6800

    The problem is most likely the socket. Check for dust and damage.
    Doesn't your mobo have a video card lock at the end of the socket?

    Its the card...

    My fx 5200 works perfectly... just stripped down and cleaned the pc as well witch made no diff to the 6800..

    Its still acting up a fair bit but seems to be working again at the mo

    i used to get the same prob on my old board but it wasn't nowt to do with the gpu if i put my psu cables thru the holes on my mobo tray not under the mobo just next to it at the side i got the same lines on boot moved the wires went away still dont now why strange. And the advice given by the gurus is bang on, have you looked at the fingers. My old HDD had intermittent probs checked the fingers and they had worn out scratched away got sum silver paint for car heater window elements and fixed it my old agp card was going the same way they were starting to get worn out from the bottom sum sockets are realy tight and scratch them and especially if its being put in an out a lot

    All the fingers on the card look fine, still gold plates there
