a 4th thread over same subject?
well see the other two threads were deciding what to pick, that not being bought. Having bought my build is much different
not quite the same subject. I switched from Intel to AMD. I wasn't wanting your guy's opinions on why I posted three threads, but what I should buy with the system I bought
Thank you. Especially for not commenting on how many threads I posted.
Thanks a lot I think I will go with this one!
Actually this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016
Though the thing is that it's still about building your rig. I'll have to merge all these topics together because they're all related and don't need new threads...
I just merged several of your threads all into this thread because you just spawn too many different threads.
I left out the threads about your old HP Workstation.
just buy something, you already have my recommondations and several other peoples too. GL
Good choice, it's modular and 80+ certified.
I did I bought my whole system already.
Are you a moderator? thanks.
Sorry to be mistaken I bought this one, it's got 4 12V rails at 83% efficiency by OCZ:
Yes, yes I am. All members with a Don heading are either admins or moderators.
i wouldnt have gotten that but oh well.
It's not a bad PSU, I had the 500W version before they started offering to replace the older 500W version with the OCZ ModXStream 500W which I have now because the old version of the StealthXStream lacked 2 PCIe power connectors while the ModXStream and the StealthXStream v2 does.
You must have bought the last one.
That or he didn't buy it off NewEgg and bought it at another retailer? lol. Sometimes I know I post NewEgg links even though I bought it from a local retailer instead.
Yeah I bought it in the box new unwrapped on ebay for $40 I know what Pill monster means now about getting a high quality PSU the ratings were bad for a lot of PSUs on Newegg. Only some brands like OCZ, antec, or cooler master are good psus
I bought the 600W, but I think OCZ has a 700w if I am not mistaken. But yes this one has two PCI-E I made sure so that when I put my graphics card in which requires 220W it will work without a molex to PCI-E. I am pretty excited for it to come in the mail. I also bought 8gb Corsair for $30
You better hope that the 2 PCIE connectors are on different rails to each other..
18 Amps per 12v rail..
18 amps x 12v = 216w on a rail.
GTX 275 is 219w = 18.25 Amp
If the GTX 275 is fed off 1 rail and under load you might be pushing the rail to it's max.
At least the Antec psu you pointed at on Newegg earlier only had 3 rails that were rated at 25 Amps each which allowed headroom for 2 x PCIE on one rail with your GTX 275.
