Okay so I tried Crysis on it. It runs it at medium resolutions with ease. Am I not wrong to say that card is STILL a beast? I love my 6800 Ultra! :D

    Here's my baby....

I'm kinda surprised TBH seeing how long the 6800 series lasted. Damn, a 6800 GT can *still* run modern games at decent resolution with at least one or two notches turned up. Thats really cool, and really nice. I think the NV40 was NVIDIA's best GPU to date.....:)

IF they did not bring out these babies we would all have had to contend a while 'longer' with the FX 5x00 series (aka absolute crap).

Hope nobody *feels* like testing any modern (or relatively dated for that matter :( ) game on one of those!

I only had a 6600GT (AGP) Gigabyte TURBOFORCE version and that thing used to fly with anything up until you go higher than 1024x768.

The 6x00 was, err I mean, IS pretty impressive!

i have a 5700UT and 5950UT 8x agp, i should fire them up and see if they can even play some of todays games.

my bro is still runing his 6800GT OC'd to Ultra clocks, and he said he just cant justify upgrading it right now.
He play COD4 and Bioshock with good FPS at 1280x1024.
I was trying to talk him into upgrading to the 9600GT but after playing COD4 on his PC, i told him to wait on the G100/200 w/e they going to call it to come out.

my 6800 ultra is still going strong also. :)

im able to play BF2142 and CoD4 at 1024/768 with medium/normal settings with no problems. it is a really good card considering ive had this card almost 4 years and it still keeps up with alot of the games out now.

Yeah, I remember trying to run COD2 in DX9 mode on my FX 5900.....Was an interesting slideshow :p

The FX cards cannot even run most modern DX9 games. HL2: Ep 1 and 2? DX8 mode, and in DX9 mode HDR doesn't work (it needs MRTs). COD4? No go, you won't be able to even start the game with a FX card. BioShock? That doesn't work either.

So in all essence users are saved from terrible slideshows by error messages not allowing modern games to run on that card :D

Well, I had Geforce 6800. Not Ultra or even GT, just 6800. With 128MB video memory.
    It was a nice card.

My 6800GT died around this time last year but was a terrific card, worth every penny i spent on it and i now have it (without the heat sink) sitting right next to my 9800XT on my desk.

    Viva La 6800!

I mess around with rendering and I will buy me a 6800gt/ultra soon just to flash it into a cad card. My friend has one and in rendering his 6800gt owns my sli 8800gtx setup! Oh ya those 6800s still are useful for the price/performance ratio still.

Funny thing is your OCed 6800 Ultra can pwn a 8600 GTS. Good card still.

The 8600gts is quite a bit faster than the 6800 ultra in every game....

It doesnt even beat it in any games, sometimes the 8600gts is twice as fast.
