Oh ffs hurry up. I still haven't see a single WC-ed Titan benchies :wanker:

Water is the key because NVIDIA now claims that the temperature and not power/current is critical for overall stability.

I tried a bit more last night.

Without touching core/mem clock offset, I tried.. (MSI AfterBurner v3.0.0 Beta5)
    * Temp target = 90 (default is 80)
    * Core voltage (mV) = +15

These Titans ran at 1197 MHz while I was playing Crysis 3.

A single Titan running at 1197 MHz is slightly faster than a 690 (and 680 SLI). I'm quite impressed, to be honest. A single GPU in the same generation (although different branch) performing equal or better than two flagship (680) GPUs with an easy overclock.

So, I think, the performance delta between a single Titan vs. a 690 and Titan 2-Way SLI vs. 690 Quad-SLI should be bigger because...
    - better SLI scaling (2-Way vs Quad)
    - less CPU overhead in 2-Way SLI (2 GPUs vs 4 GPUs)
    - less heat

6GB framebuffer is a bonus, I guess. Heh.

That is impressive, However need to see more results to see if yours is the same as most other Titans as Hilbert couldnt get his to 1200mhz.

I dont think 1x Titan is as strong as 2 overclocked 680's tbh.
Even an average 680 can hit 1250 on the core quite easily.

My 690 runs at 1215 and 1202 fully stable in 3d mark and Heavenbench so for me going for a Titan is a waste of time and money.

I do think you have one of the better Titans, definitely worth putting under custom water, Time will tell.:)

    Give it a minute
still trying tu understand the throttle out...so far i just think it does it when it wants to.
    I have two
The "sc signature" just has ants in its pants and goes 1070 up and down to 1170 apita.
both cards same clocks temp and settings
    [IMG]

the "sc" card is better more flat for some reason and we score more since it clocks are higher longer.

even with easy dx9 and low temps like 03 ran the flatest with sc card

other one was still all over like drunken schoolgirl
    [IMG]

alot of testing i have to do yet to see whats going to work best or if the sc s is just a defect lol
oh and bios dump no go for me
    [IMG]

Oh and make sure you have lastest mb bios or the system may not post with titan.
My ud5h needed f14,s4 was a no go

It's starting to look to me as though Titan is TDP limited even on air.

I've seen several people saying they don't get near their target temp and yet the GPU is clocking down during a bench run. That can only mean it's reaching TDP limit can't it?

If that's the case, water cooling is going to do very little, if anything to increase OC potential. Best case scenario is that it will allow you to hit the same OC that you were getting on air but with much less noise.

I'm getting my Titan tomorrow, can't wait to fire up BF3. I haven't played it since I bought a bigger (1650x1080) monitor, yes high FPS is my thing :)

Yeah but some parts of the cards back will burn you thuo even if the core is at 55c

The h70 is mounted and calmed the scs down abit
Last night the card would lock in heaven at these clocks today it np

First boot so i normally get -2c more in a few days.
had to adjust on the fly to make sure contact was ok
but after 44c was load temp.

That's cool (literrally), you're getting ~1150mhz constantly now with the watercooling where it was downclocking and even locking up due to temps before?

yeah same jumpy jenny card now with h70

just temp checks in some benches

messed up this ss cpu 4.0 card max 1180
    [IMG]

Not getting near 50c no more.
Which brings to my next puzzle
I cant understand on how this card reacts to temp, 40c higher boost then 44c? or 50c? nope its messed up i say.
Not only that but if you set +90 in ab then +100 +90 boosts more.

even with stock memory does boost go all over the place? for my 680s, too high of memory and my boost clock just does a staircase effect.

@cowie at those speeds you must be hitting 265W. in most benchies/games anyway. Wait for new KGB...

    • Phase 1: set Power Target over 9000

    • Phase 3:

Well aint no Twin Frozr IV help on that xD

And I can already see a lot of people just blowing away they're money atm, cuz if that's true the Lightning editions will come at least around 10-20% factory OC'ed and they will leave some headroom for even further OC'ing, meaning a lot of people now will have ''slower'' Titan's even OC'ed in a few months, which is pretty LULZ if you ask me considering the price tag
