Don't know if anyone has listed this but I'm going to say Mageslayer (I think it was named differently in the USA but can't remember the name) One of the best top-down view games I have ever played (albeit the demo lol ) A lot of games that have just remained in my mind and I keep remembering them now and again, which is a good thing Link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mageslayer Screenshots - http://www.ravengames.com/mageslayer/screenshots.html Another one would be Uprising, but I'm not sure you'd be able to run that if you did get it Did anyone list Pandemonium & Pandemonium 2? Amazing games and fun too Deadlock: Planetary Conquest is a brilliant turn-based strategy from 1996 but I don't think you'd be able to get that anywhere which is a shame :wanker: Sensible World Of Soccer, Actua Soccer 3, Ignition!, Moto Racer, Age Of Empires II: Age Of Kings, The Fifth Element, Icebreaker, Screamer 2, Screamer Rally, Colin McRae Rally, Chasm: The Rift, Motorhead, Severance: Blade Of Darkness, Mortyr, Dark Reign: The Future Of War, Maelstrom, Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity, Mat Hoffmans Pro BMX, Grand Theft Auto 2, Little Big Adventure 2, Prince Of Persia, Prince Of Persia 2, Airfix Dogfighter, S.C.A.R.S., Big Red Racing, Shadow Warrior, Redline Racer, POD - Planet Of Death, Syndicate, Return To Zork, Myst, WarCraft, WarCraft II, Rise Of The Triad, Jazz Jackrabbit, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Earthworm Jim, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, Destruction Derby, Destruction Derby 2, The Journeyman Project, The Journeyman Project 2: Buried In Time, The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy Of Time, Total Annihilation, Age Of Empires, Carmageddon, Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now!, Supaplex (AKA Megaplex), Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, SiN, Abuse, Apache, Apache Longbow, Cannon Fodder, Day Of The Tentacle, Death Rally, Ecstatica II, Full Throttle, Indycar Racing II, Bonkheads ^ That's a list of games I have either played (about 95-98% I have played) or have known about since I started gaming (at about the age of 2 I think I can't recall but I've been gaming since I was VERY young lol!)
If you want to get some DOS games check on Steam first, as Steam has a built in DOS emulator which even works in Vista. Theres things like wolfenstein 3d, all the dooms, all the quakes, all the hexens, e.t.c
Thanks a lot for mentioning this one, mcharj11! I remember playing Heavy Gear II when it came out and later forgot what the title of the game was. For quite some time now, every now and then, I was trying to figure out how it was called.
Jetpack. DOS games that don't run on XP or Vista anymore can be played with DOSbox, just a side note.
A very emblematic game for me was Hell Cab. I was young and did not know a thing about conputers when my friend got it. We couldn't read english very well so we couldn't get past the Empire State building. Other games that did it for me at the time where Duke 3D, Jazz Jackrabbit, GTA 1 and London, Midtown Madness, Need for Soeed 1 and 2 SE, Alone in the Dark up to 3 and many others that I just don't remember right now.
yea i did, was huge fan of pandemonium played it for hours on end when i was little. I didn't really dig the second one though :/ oh yes how could i forget I already listed it i was just paying it in dosbox the other day That reminds me of the second best robot fighter back in the day.. Zero Divide :wanker: SUPERB COMBINATION! Two more I just remembered, anyone ever play Gex? CyberStrike2? [lol 'go with faith that the end is near!']
Yep, I've played Gex, WAHEY that game owned (PlayStation I think if I remember correctly, might've played it on PC as well)
