Lightweight Type-1 Hypervisors

    I read recently that the new consoles run their operating systems on top of lightweight hypervisors, so that even if the OS security is compromised, a hack cannot gain access to the underlying hardware without further work. Interesting.

    Anyway, what good options are there for running Windows in this fashion on x64 architecture? Everything I've found so far looks like it runs on Windows or Linux to start with, which is the opposite approach.

    This is just out of interest.
