I guess it's perfect for people who don't know how to configure their TVs properly (which the great majority of the population).
Kudos for LG. Hope they extended to other platforms too, not only Prime Video.

    Yeah, it's a good feature.

I have CX, and mode changing is cumbersome. Brightness adjustments are even worse. Yeah, I know that you can calibrate once etc, and there are separate bright and dark modes. But the conditions do change, and for everything but movies, it's a pita. I wish they allowed more control from PC, and easier from remote.

I don't recall asking content creators how I'm expected to watch their content..... Guess I should consider a Samsung TV next time...

Yes that is exactly the effect this is trying to remove.. it is the default overly strong motion interpolation settings in lots of old TVs... its actually called "soap opera effect"

Also for CX owners out there I hear from Vincent @ HDTVTest that the new firmware update the LG just released fixed a few things including increasing the brightness of Filmmaker mode.... which I did find myself was a bit too dark for my liking.

Also I see from comments here a lot of numpties appear to want to continue to watch in some uncalibrated TV Showroom mode so there is no explaining to some people...

Some people think that activating all the goodies that their TVs have make things look nicer. Usually it's the other way around.
