FreeSync certainly is getting widely adopted. UltraWide monitors from LG that support AMD FreeSync all had been restricted to 2560 x 1080. The LG 34UC98 (also 34UC98-W) is a curved 34” Ult... LG 34UC98 curved UltraWide FreeSync
21:9 - 2 years from now, yes. Right now 16:9 is still the way to go for general gaming. because 27'' inch screen is what you're left with - if the game does not support 21:9(!) on your 34''
Pish posh. 21:9 is the king right now. Many games support this ratio.. pretty much all current games do by default. In the time I've had my x34 predator, I can fill it out in Farcry 4, Witcher 3, heck, even Pillars of Eternity supports it..
specfications says 48 ~ 75 (Freesync) Hz, so max refresh rate is probably 75Hz. I think the 60hz is referring just to Thunderbolt input.
I'd like to actually use one of the ultra wide screens, however I don't see them replacing my triple wide set-up any time soon. Lots of realestate, but can't go back to just one monitor. Maybe a 50" curved display one day...
If it could really go upto 75Hz then I might just buy this monitor. Sounds great for gaming, especially games like Command & Conquer, Skyrim. Also for movies it'll look fantastic..
I bought it yesterday. You can get 75 Mhz refresh just by setting FreeSync in OSD. Using nvidia panel mine went up to 84.
iam agaisnt anh kind of curved screen. TV or Monitor. i have both. and they both sucks. i mean TV and monitor. angles r weird to get used to. but thats me. u can have fun people.
