    Non-orthogonal multiple access, amplitude & phase-shift keying......and small cells by the millions!!! Idk how well 5G will work in the real world until it has matured some, but it sure has some neat tricks up its sleeve.

    I thought 5g was the same as 4g only faster. Guess I haven't been paying attention.

    In some ways, you are correct. Phase 1 5g doesn't offer much over 4g lte/laa that they have in some metro areas, at least in terms of bandwidth....but there are still gains in latency and efficiency. Once stand-alone 5g (phase 2) rolls out, should be substantial gains all around....at least in theory.
