Nah, they are definately 128-bit memory. Check evga, bfg, and xfx's sites.

    damn....

    now im torn between a 7800GS or a 7600GT with a pci-e mobo :S

i would need a new psu for the pci-e option, but im not sure my current psu will be good enough for the 7800GS anyway :S

Im planning to get this 7600GT for a month or two... But when i check the AMD AM2 platform then im kinda holding up my current system...

I have an AGP system, so if im going to get this card i must switch to PCI-E... I hope they will make an AGP of this 7600GT too...

I want one of these cards but im not sure, is the shimmering image quality still apparent with these new cards?

i did find this which was intresting

have a read what does "Built for Windows Vista – The next generation operating system" Mean?

Yep, quite impressive. I bought the EVGA version clocked at 580/1500 but I have a feeling it'll go higher. Can't wait to see what its capable of.

will a Default 7600GT overclock to the XXX versions with stock cooling?

And will this card last for 12-18months, lmao think of the jump im gonna see from a 9700pro to a 7600GT........woohoo i cant wait to play FEAR, ive not been able to run FEAR unless i have the settings on low and it looks like a ps1 game like that so ive not played it.

I think ill be getting one on the 20th march unless somthing happens to put me off.

The 7600GT is clocked a lot higher and it is most likely more efficient, dont feel bad mate you still got a cracking card, but the 7600GT does kick its head in even though it is 12pipes and 128bit.

But how is it compared the 7800GS ? But saying that those cards a quite expensive really.

And good news is the 7600GT will carry on getting faster when the drivers are optimized for it.

I am pretty sure when they drops the price of 7600GT for around 150USD many people will difinitely craving for that card... Now at 189USD many wants to wait for sometime... Im included...

also i read in a Maximum PC magazine that they are going to start makeing dual core graphics cards. does anyone know when they are going to release them or does anyone have any info about them?

Oh yeah, 7600GT is my kind of card.

Reminds me alot of the 6600gt. Launched at 200$, only 128-bit but with a more efficient gpu + insane clocks it still performs like the highends of the last generation.

And just like the 6600gt 128-bit makes the 7600gt suffer a bit with AA. But (like the 6600gt) this card makes up for that too with the raw power of high frequencies.

Still I'm very surprised the 7600GT performs this good. Too good to be true? Probably not since many reviews tell the same story :)

Is this confirmed? In that case I might wait for those to arrive and keep my AGP-setup.

im thinking of just getting a 7800GS, a GS costs roughly the same as a 7600GT and a good PCI-e mobo for me, and thats assuming i can use my 20 pin psu with it...

and id say the 7800Gs kicks the 7600GT's ass, it has twice the memory bandwidth, and can compensate for its relatively low clocks with huge OCability

7800GS and 7600GT is like 6600GT and 6800 VANILLA... In lower resolution and AA/AF they are neck to neck (6600GT vs 6800NU) but when the resolution goes high 6800NU takes advantage.

So i think 7800GS is superior than 7600GT in some occasion, maybe because of its 16x6 piplines and 256bit mem bus... But with the price, 7600GT wins everything...

both the 6600GT and 7600GT were designed for the midrange segment were they?so high AA AF and high res wont be very nice, specially for the new games coming out.

is the 7600gt available here in pinas?pinas as in rp not las pinas ha. haha. im planning to upgrade my system and i just asked my uncle to buy me 6800gs fromthe states and pay him in pesos here, since its cheaper there.. do you think i should change my order to 7600gt? of course that would only be posible if im able to change my cpu and mobo which i plan to do by the end of the month, next week, ill add 512 geil muna. the thing is, all these upgrades so far meannothing as i dont havetime to play games. and currently i only have f.e.a.r. live 2005/06 and cs:s

in the meantime, would my uprgade from 512 to 1024 make a significant improvement to my system's performance? im an architect and i do 3d, autocad and photoshop. how will the extra 512 help in softwares like autocad and photoshop ( crap, im trying to build a gaming pc and im using it for ofice work ost of the time)

Isn't your mobo agp? The only 7xxx series card they make in agp is the 7800gs and is only slighly faster than a 6800 Ultra.

yup its agp, thats why im only able to pick the 7600gt if im able to dispose m current cpu and mobo, otherwise, ill stick to 6800gs, so is the gs ok with athlon xp2600?
