We will only see parcial support for Dx10 with the 8800/8600 line. BUT this bad ass eVGA 7600GT has the 256 bit mem interface. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130284

With 600 mgz clock and high bandwith memory you cant go wrong. Two of these could most likely beat a single 7900 GTX 256. Besides being a bit cheaper, two eVGA 7600GTs will be running at a true 32x as opposed to a single 7900GTX with only 16x pci-e speed.

sorry to dissapoint you hellhammer but its NEWEGG TYPO ERROR. All 7600GT are 128bit mem interface, even if you check it at EVGA website, its 128bit.

The closest thing are the firingsquad benchmarks comparing it to a 6800GS. From all that I've read about it, I'd say the 7600GT is better than a 6800 Ultra, and not quite as good as a 7800GT.

Looks better? It looks cheaper. Go to newegg and check the spec back and forth between them. 12 pipes versus 24 pipes for example, faster memory etc. Its just like the 6800 and 6600, and any of this ringing a bell?

7800GT performs hell way better than 7600GT... But with the price 7600GT its the next 6600GT i think.

That is true, what the 6600GT was for the 6-Series the 7600GT will be for the 7-Series. Mid-range performance + $200 pricetag = buy if you can"t get a 7900/7800 or X1900.

AGP8x versions of 7600 parts (GT and GS) are expected in the May-to-July timeframe.

ey, how much memory bandwidth does the 7600GT really has? Some say it has 256-bit memory bus some 128-bit memory bus??? quite confused here...

Yeah, it's 128-bit, I guess there's a typo on Newegg that says it has 256 which is confusing a lot of people, but it is definately 128-bit. :)

well if they really produce an AGP version of this with the same or lower price, i will diffinitely going to buy one. But if not, then im going to hold on to my current system until next year... Also the price will drops, and also waiting for AM2 from AMD...

@nutyo:i agree, the 7600GT is really tempting in my case, but ill just have to wait for the next gen DX10 cards for a major upgrade for my system (which is really old now).

@repapips: kabayan, ano upgrade ka ba? hehe, PCI-E to. Might as well keep your eyes on tipidpc hehe.

i weighed my options and considered either 6800 or 7600.
    ultimately i went with the 7900gt :p
boy how awesome is this going to be? 6600 to a 7900!!
if you haven't already, read the article on the new nvidia cards on anandtech

The 7600gt has 20GBps bandwidth whereas my 6800gs XXX has 34.5 GBps ....moreover its a 128 bit card instead of 256 ..... buying that card now will be a real waste of money ..... my 6800 will pawn it at any game .....
In the firingsquad review it seems that the 7600 and 7800gt are more or less performing the same...how is that possible??? 12pipes-128bit (almost=) 24pipes-256bit ???!!?

kabayang ViperXtreme, if im going to upgrade it will be PCI-E na... Im saving for about 35thou for PROC, MOBO, GPU and MEM... at least for AMD i will go for 3500+ or higher... I cant afford dual core right now...

But if AMD will change the number of pins on AM2 then its a bad news for me cause im planning to get a 939 Athlon 64 3500+....

@TheGamer, well on reviews the 7600GT beats your 6800GS and thats with only the reference card... So more performance is expected on branded cards like XFX, BFG, EVGA etc... with 6800GS there is no issue, the question is how will it perform compare to 6800GT and ULTRA...
