The 50" Plasma buying was the best upgrade gaming wise in a long time, with an xbox 360 wireless joypad it becomes an unbeatable experience, playing Darksiders II now and it is truly memorable.
Recommended more than a new GPU or proc. upgrade if you have a decent 1080p capable hardware.
The plasma screen has a depth feel that cant be matched even on my Dell U2711 IPS screen.

Can i ask why you didn't go for the ST50b which is the 2012 model? Unless you bought yours last year that is!!

i've got the Tx-P65ST50B and it is incredible. Need to try my PC on it...

The GT50B is the 2012 model its the one above the ST50, I bought one on release in April and have been consistently impressed with everything I throw at it.

I wasn't aware of that cheers, looks like my 65" wasn't available as a GT, only the St and the VT which i couldn't afford!

Do any of you on your plasma's see green flash when your watching a fast moving black and white scene on your Panasonic tv's.

Yes, when I first got it (Panasonic 42PZ80B), but only on fast motion where there is black and white.
After a while the effect either lessens or I got used to it, I never see it now.

The time I used to see it was on fast moving end credits with white text on a black screen.

Yeah as mentioned the GT version sits between the lower ST and the Higher end VT.

I mainly got it for the THX certified viewing modes and better multitasking.

Everytime i watch a blu-ray or 3d blu-ray i'm just gobsmacked at the picture quality.

As i mentioned in my other post though it does have its weaknesses, buzzing and heat output namely.
