    Now come on, that's just a stereotype. I have a couple of Asian friends, and they have never been in an accident. :cop:

    Yeah i was looking for that too on my HD4850 but i just assumed it's enabled by default for all AF modes. I had it enabled all the time even on x1950 Pro so that would make sense...

    Seems they were pulled by ASUS, I did download the Vista x64 version before they were pulled. But the MSI drivers listed above have a newer build number.

    It would seem the MSI driver is the same as the 8.52 driver we already had,

    They are back up now, for vista 32/64 and XP 32/64 No issues so far, dont really know about in game performance because most games I play are older or driving SIMS other than BF2 and 2142. In Iracing they are running smooth as butter right now on my ASUS 4870

    Hi, I don't know if this or something like this have been already posted here so... forgive me if it is.

    I suppose you know that it's possible to edit core and memory speed with the 8.8 beta by profiles reaching 250/450....

    I'm spanish so excuse me if I don't explain this as it should.

    BTW the only trick to reduce temperature it's to reduce memory speed. ...

    So read what I've posted, it will help you

    First of all we have got many ways to make our temperature lower by easy methods, without using any kind of bios modification.

    With the profiles, using 2 or 3 of them we can administrate very well our degrees.

    So first of all.

    I suppose you all already know how to modificate RPMs% in 4870...

    2nd

    With 8.8 Beta you can easely reach this values.

    [IMG]

    How? Just need to edit a profile with the overdrive option checked (any of the profiles we use to choose RPM's fan)

    [IMG]

    Like this. So, the 3 values that are marked there (wants) show 3 different mhz speed that graphic card need.
    Want 0 it's for light Gpu activity,
    Want 1
    normal Gpu Activity
    And Want 2 is for heavy Gpu Activity.

    From my pont of view, if you want nice temperatures on IDLE you should leave the values as they are in the screen.

    <Feature name="CoreClockTarget_0">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="25000" />
    <Property name="Want_1" value="25000" />
    <Property name="Want_2" value="25000" />

    </Feature>
    <Feature name="MemoryClockTarget_0">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="45000" />
    <Property name="Want_1" value="45000" />
    <Property name="Want_2" value="45000" />

    YOU CAN'T go lower than that, any value lower wont apply and will not work, even if you do it with AMD GPU CLOCK TOOL. That are the lower values you can reach using profiles.

    The most important one are the memory (they are the key to get lower temperatures)

    Remember to switch to a GAMING profile before playing games (with memory and core values as default or Oced)

    Don't be afraid if you don't see your speed core to 750mhz instantanely when you change to GAMES profile. It will change when the graphic card begin to work.

    I expect that it will be useful

    ^^!

    This is the way to improve degrees without the "risk" of flashing bios...

    IF you understand spanish or you just want to try to descifrate it ....

    Here it's the original post http://foro.noticias3d.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=2319224&postcount=1
