I just got my first LCD monitor, here is the link:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824021019

    or

    http://www.rosewill.com/product/product.aspx?productId=221

When I am gaming, the screen is slightly blurry when I am moving around in the game. It it looks kinda like GTA3 tracers. The recommended resolution is 1280x1024 @ 60hz which is what I am running it in. I just installed the driver for the monitor, but it didn't really help. I have tried both the standard D-Dub & the DVI connections. Any tips, tweaks, things I need to know, etc?

    My Specs:

    AMD Athlon 64(tm) 3000+ Venice w/ 512MB PC3200 SDRAM
    NVIDIA GeForce PX6600TD

Attached are screenshots of my monitor options for both of the connections. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Buy a new LCD if you want the ghosting to go away.

There's nothing you can do about it. Although, at 8ms... there shouldnt be any really severe ghosting. I'm thinking it's the brand (Rosewill)'s fault.

Generally, if you buy a more brand name monitor (LG, Viewsonic), even at 8ms there shouldn't be any noticeable ghosting.

Think of it like a PSU. A brand name 400W can match a generic 500W. I suppose you could use the same analogy for monitors.

Yes, I agree with CLK Project. I have an 8ms 19 in LCD but I have the Hyundai L90D+ And have been playing BF2, CS, and Quake 4 with no hint of ghosting whatsoever. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824179014

Yeah, you should get a better monitor like Samsung for example. Rosewill just isn't known for their monitors.

Well, after several days of testing, tweaking, etc, I have decided to send this monitor back & get a Samsung CRT. I just hope Newegg will be helpful throughout the process. Thanks for all the help!
