Laptops for 3D animation?

    Can anyone help me understand the best choice in laptops for 3D animation? Based on this article the highest clock freq on your CPU, most RAM and looks like the best GPU you can afford is what's needed. Am I missing anything or do I sound like I have it right?

    That article seems to apply only to desktop hardware. I would look at something geared towards being a workstation rather than gaming. I would tend to prefer core-count over frequency (but that is just me). Something with a xeon cpu, IPS monitor, quadro or firepro(now radeon pro) gpu, and ecc memory. Look at the HP zbook mobile workstations,MSI mobile workstations, lenovo mobile workstations, or dell precision mobile workstations. Here is an example

    Yes, it will be expensive.
