Not at all surprised. The evidence looks damning. Armstrong was litigious throughout his career. His failure to carry on fighting just adds more fuel to the fire.
Cycling is the dirtiest sport in the world hands down and they all know it.Lance was just doing what every top rider was doing and he's getting penalized for being better at it.
Aren't you a police officer of some kind? I find it very interesting that you would take, as evidence, coerced witnesses, and drug tests whose chain of custody is suspect. I would think you of anyone would be more sensitive to these kinds of things. That said, I'm not saying if its one way or the other, because frankly, I don't really care. I just found it interesting that you take the position you do so firmly, despite experience that, I thought, would make you think completely the opposite.
A 1000 page dossier, numerous witnesses statements and supplementary testimony and evidence. A professor of haematology report and so on and so forth. Haven't read it, but the commentary from a leading sports journalist on the BBC said his reputation was not damaged, it had been 'shredded'. Not enough for you? Certainly more than you would see on most successful prosecution files!
I cycle and read the report he is a cheater. And it is a dirty sport, but why am I going to defend cheaters. Lance Pharmstrong.
like toreto says, winning is winning, doesn't matter what you do if you win thats all that counts, and if they are all using drugs i think it is fair anyway lol yea what i just said
Yeah get him in court and make him suffer if enough evidence. Man another legend like Jimmy Saville isnt so great after all!
I think its probably logical to bring into light those who have profited most from the doping madness is cycling no? Maybe they should pick on the worst placed doper from the tour de farce? You have your faith, so good for you. I have evidence.
The snowball effect is certainly here atm. Rabobank just announced they will withdraw from sponsoreship after 17 years!! This is a huge letdown for any dutch cycle fan.
Lance Armstrong. This became a very sad and disappointing story. For the longest time he was a true inspiration for men and someone that we could look up to. It was nice to know that a man could be at 40 years of age and still perform at a TOP level, so it gave us hope for when we reach that age, that if you work hard, you can still posses that kind of youth and energy. Alas, it was all a farce and wasn't genuine. A hero and an inspiration fallen. Perhaps it is true that men at that age just can't compete anymore, as it appears virtually all who do are artificially boosting their performance. Even the ones we thought were crystal clean have been exposed.
I find it funny Nike dumps him as a sponsor for allegedly doping ,but yet they are still sponsoring an animal killer, a rapist and child a mollester.
Hmmmm.... think of it like this. In all those years, everyone in the top 10 was using dope, but Lance was still #1. So in fact he's still the real winner here?
George Foreman won one of the world heavyweight boxing belt at age 45. I never heard any cheating claims against him, but we never really know.
I think it is BS, unless they have solid proof he was using performance enhancing drugs, they should leave the guy alone. How can they punish the guy without evidence that he did anything wrong. The entire incident make me ill to think about.
I agree totally Apart from Circumstantial evidence, the real concrete evidence is in Armstrong's favor, and singling him out anyway, is the biggest load of bs imo... regards, RagDoll.
