Hiya guys just wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat as me.
I used to have a ATI Sapphire 4870 512meg and 19" samsung lcd. performance was really fast and responsive.
Now imm using a Iiyamah 24" lcd 1920x1080
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/159339
    And a XFX GTX295
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155538
This is the power supply im using a Hiper 1000w 4x12volt rails
    +12v 1 (± 5%) 0A - 22A
    +12v 2 (± 5%) 0A - 22A
    +12v 3 (± 5%) 0A - 32A
    +12v 4 (± 5%) 0.1A - 29A
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/156049

My problem is either ive not set it up right or somethings wrong, when i move my curser across the screen it feel abit laggy and blurs.
as with games aswell ive had to turn up my mouse speed because it feels left behind when i move and it feels abit juddery ingame playing COD4 and COD5 there the only games ive played after installing my new hardware.
Ive used driver cleaner when i uninstalled my ATI drivers and tryed the latest 2 Nvidia drivers, but with the same effect, poor.
whats causing this issue? not enough power to the video card? im using 2x12 volt rails atm.
    Driver issue?
    Or something else?
Tryed to run 3DMARK05 with my new Nvidia card but it fails(error)
Any help would be much appreciated as ive just spent over £600 on a video card and monitor and it runs krap.
ps ive updated my mobo drivers aswell.

    Hey,

Have you tried disabling SLI? If not try it and see if your mouse response is quicker and less jittery.

try the beta version of driver sweeper if u havent and 182.50's are the best driver for the 295 i think...

apart from that have u done a defrag recently?

also u have multi display mode and multi gpu mode nvidia recommended on? u can try force split frame-rendering..

also try using nhancer and activating a few game profiles..

I know that doesn't have anything to do with the power Supply but
that hipper doesn't offer any voltage stability, and as a lot of ripple two
    not so good for overclocking.

funny to listen someone saying that yesterday used to play with 4870 at 1680x1050 very well

and today with 295 1900x1200 he faces some issues...

yeah its called sods/murphys law! :) but 295 i think has been over hyped a bit and some of its compatability/driver issues been over-looked somewhat.

some games just dont seem to want to do sli for me. but the games the op is talking about shouldnt have any problem with smoothness and should play around the 100fps mark or over.

Question now is whether its the GPU or Monitor. Since these are the only changes. Have you still got your ATI Card DC? Install that again and see if problems persists or even try your old monitor with the gtx295. Which ever is easier for you.

Let us know how that goes :)

I try installing drivers 182.50's i can see the loading screen and when it goes on my desktop it just black screens, after several attemps it finaly installed but still feels laggy.
    Whats that "ATI Card DC"?
And i will change monitor as its the easiest option.
Just a question is 20amp x 2 12 volt rails enough juice for a GTX295 or can i get a 2 into 1 per power slot for the card if you know what i mean use all four 12volt rails and make them into 2 a six pin and a eight pin?
Just done a 3DMARK06 and it got 18314 @ cpu 3.4GHz is that any good.
pps is it better to have 2x 12v rails connected. as my psu manual show that just to use one 12v rail for both 8 pin and 6 pin slots on the gfx card.

way i run my 295 is from two pci-e connectors from the psu. had to snap one though to make it 6-pin (they are either 6 or 8 pin). but i would run the 295 from 2 seperate rails...

if your driver isnt installing then i am guessing either your oc isnt stable, u havent got rid of previous ati/nvidia drivers or as you say its a psu issue. you wouldnt have though that though?

was that hiper 1000w a cheap psu? (ahh no just saw it on ebuyer..but its not modular..mmm..still u should have 2 seperate connectors to power that 295 right?)

Tryed the 295 in another pc with clean install and still same problem seems juddery when movement is on screen. only conclusion is the card must be faulty. so i will RMA it and get 2 4890's.

sorry to hear you got a faulty card. by looking at this section i see many have issues with nvidia cards (myself included). the manufacturers should really test these cards more considering some of us pay over $500 for them...

did you try to move the mouse in windows and watch pc usage in taskmanager?

a pal had a similar problem, if he moved the mouse fast he got cpu spikes up to 50% with a Q6600, he had razer copperhead, it was a strange issue, i disabled few thing it was ok, but after a win restart it returned back... dunno maybe it was a usb error or something, he had some old windows xp installed for over a year and who knows how many problems, fresh win install fixed it.

Try the 185.68 or 185.85 driver releases.

dont know if this is helpful but hyper PSU aint great, your pc looks very power hungry i'd go with an antec or tagan 850w or more. i just have a feeling ur hyper cant power everything when on load

Tryed it on a different pc with a clean OS no video card installed on xp64 still same problem,
When playing Modern warfare my fps can go up to 900 fps and down as low as 74fps but feels laggy throughout the range.
