Any fans of lager beer here, and I mean the good stuff, not the cheap crap. Peroni? Amstel? How do different brands come across in your country? Carling and Carlsberg being the "cheap" stuff here in England... Go.
I thought you said no crap. Double for stella. Pilsner Urquell and Czech Budweiser are pretty nice on a hot day. Some huge percentage of German/Czech beers are lagers and way better that the crap mentioned so far.
I don't normally drink Lagers. Maybe a bud light or 2. If I'm offered one, i'll drink it out of respect to the person that gave it to me. But my main drink of choice is Guinness.
You might not know when you're drinking lagers, many lagers are dark. You might like dopplebocks and dunkels.
At the moment Iām enjoying Bernard 3.8% / 10ā imported from Czech Republic. Brands like Stella, Amstel and so on are made locally under license and ruined in the process.
Haha could be. Never tried the imported ones, but judging by Heineken that was imported a few years ago, but it is made locally now ā it is worse.
Gave up drinking in my 20's, but when I did drink, Budwiser budvar was always a good favourite of mine.
Lager are making a comeback here in the States. Many craft breweries are returning to this style after assaulting palates with "hop bombs". Most think of lagers as cheap crap like Bud & Miller & Coors. My favorite is Anchor California Lager. Great crisp taste & light hops & malt.
Gulden draak all the way Had a Gulden draak 9000 last eve Some recommendations: Brugse Zot, La Chouffe, La Trappe (double, triple and especially the quad), Hoegaarden Verboden Vrucht, Kasteel Bruin, Westmalle (yet again the double, triple and quad), Grimbergen, Zeeschuimer, Skoll, Trappistes Rochefort 8, St. Bernardus Abt 12 (veeeerryyy good), Gouverneur Tripel, Corsendonk Pater, Achelse Kluis Bruin If anybody want a sample of "De Blauwe Ijsbeer" just ask. Lovely stuff.
no lager here anymore, grew out of that a few years ago. Only drink Ale now, Rebellion Brakspear very good.
Some of the best party's or sessions were fuelled by lager back in my 20s. Ive drank Gallons of the stuff over the years. I drink ale now as my champagne party days are over.
