    How much action is actually in this game? I'm asking since most of it is investigation & talking...

    How much chasing and fighting/shooting is there?

    Is the game actually boring as some people say or is it worth buying?

    I'm thinking of buying this game...

    Thanks for the reply guys, I will check my Steam store, heard L.A. Noire is on sale or was on sale, hopefully I'm not too late.

    All in all, looking forward to playing this game...

    Well...I know this game was released a year ago, but I really don't have a chance to play with it back then. And of course I have a first issue with it - Antialiasing (MSAA, etc.) on ATI gpu's. Downsampling is good, but particularly in this game it kinda sucks. After some sketchy research on this matter, I have not found any solution...

    So...do we have one (preferably a good one) for ATI gpu's? :)

    PS. RadiT 0.4 doesn't working for me

    I used SMAA on LA Noire. Seemed to work well. There's a tweaked SMAA injector out there that provides even sharper visuals than the normal one. It worked great with LA Noire :)

    @AcceleratorX,
    thanks, but I meant a hardware anti-aliasing...like MSAA, AMSAA, SSAA :) - for ATI gpu's only...as I am a owner of ATI card ;)

    I do get that, but since I had an NVIDIA card to try the game out on, I looked at MSAA as well as the tweaked SMAA and didn't see a huge difference that justified the drop in FPS for MSAA. In the end SMAA worked fine and was 95% as good, the texture blurring with the improved injector is insignificant and it offered me a good experience. So, in the end, I just decided to settle for using SMAA :)

    @AcceleratorX,
    you should try to force an MSAA on your NVIDIA card - it is beyond comparison with post-process AA (SMAA, FXAA)...but more demanding. Just read for "how to with NVIDIA..." on this thread...see more screens of comparison MSAA vs. PP AA...

    fr33jack, in my experience it really depends on the game. Forcing MSAA on The Saboteur produced a very blurry image with noticeable colour drift. Using the injector gave me much, much better results.

    In most games, MSAA is much better than SMAA. However, in some others, the difference is simply not there. For example, in Alice: Madness returns and the Overlord series, SMAA simply does a better job (especially the tweaked 2.7 injector that I found on the internet).

    LA Noire is one of those games where I did not see a significant difference between SMAA and MSAA. I suggest you give the tweaked SMAA 2.7 injector a try (I have posted a link on the NVIDIA drivers forum in the thread about anti-aliasing).

    I am not nearly as huge a fan of FXAA as I am of SMAA. SMAA produces a much, much clearer image, and especially the newer versions :)

    Sucks there's no PC remaster. It's on the Xbox One, surely it can't be too difficult to have a PC version. Can't say Windows version because Xbox One runs a variation of Windows 10.

    There's still a hella lot of aliasing even at 4k?
