This thread is just about my experience with triple SLI since the year 2020 and a good way for me to keep track of whats going on. There is some custom bits and bobs and a bit of info about SLI. I have been running SLI systems for over 10 years now and i won't be posting much about 2way SLI but I have had great success over the years. So far triple SLI is it worth it? Hell yeah it is most games give about 210-290% scaling. So I at least double my fps worst case scenario. Other info threads Amdbugbears 4way sli thread 3DC SLI thread My system R5E with 5960x @4.62ghz 1.25v 32gb Kingston ram @2800mhz Triple 980ti All on water cooling, I even milled up a waterblock for the CPU VRM it's a very nice setup despite this the water temps still climb over 50c! With 2x 240x60mm and 1x 120x60mm rads in push/pull config. 160% scaling = +60% fps. 200% scaling = 2x fps etc. (this is not mathematically correct thus disclaimer) Kozary's Custom Profiles Triple SLI 4k100fps by engine: Unreal engine Code Vein - good scaling ~250% ABZU - sli works ok in 3 way - stability issues - custom profile not finished Rocket league (QHD) DX11 - 850fps+ - no artifacts Unity Engine Escape from tarkov - 250%-280% scaling - no artifacts amid evil (5k) - effects medium, taa off. works good dusk - what is a GPU, effective load split - (just play it on a single gpu) Risk of Rain 2 - seems to work fine didnt measure scaling Genshin Impact(5k) - Perfect scaling with flicker and TAA or 200% scaling with minor issues and no TAA. Valheim - Near perfect scaling Other Engines Shadow warrior 2 - perfect scaling - no artifacts Vermintide 2 - seems to work well stock but scaling drag in some levels, custom profile makes minor flicker in distance but great scaling in 5k Games that work in 2 Way SLI Monster hunter world - 160% scaling (+60% fps) - no artifacts - custom profile - 3way offers 220% scaling but huge issues with particle effects (meowlotov cocktail) I have almost exhausted every option in nvidia inspector here ~50-100hours of tuning Games I'm working on Final fantasy 15 - scales perfect no artifacts then suddenly it just sh!ts the bed and goes back to single gpu don't think I can fix it tbh there is NO consistency at all. This may be a 2way game only but I have seen others having no issues with 3+ GPUs so I am not sure whats going on with it. Very annoying. Games I have tested CSGO (QHD) - same fps as 2way (cpu bound) - no artifacts - default profile Crysis 3 - very good - default profile Hellpoint - very good - amdbugbear profile Bioshock (5k) dx10 - very very good scaling - no artifacts - default profile dx9 scales a little less but HBAO is sexy Killing Floor 2 - works stock great scaling- game code is trash though and towards end game I end up with 30fps regardless of single or triple gpu.
