Some random encounters here as well, not many though.
I found a knight that wanted to duel me, but at the time I was running away from bandits and when they caught up to me he killed them for me haha. Noble Knight saves the day.
Anyone that's looking for a good rebalancing mod to make the game challenging should definitely check out this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/447?tab=description
Nice video, very poor cover. Manowar sounds 100 times better than this.
Mod for better Ambient Occlusion + some minor tweaks):
And this for better rain!
Looks like it's updating now. I wonder what the free DLC is?
Patch notes posted on the Steam forums then deleted for some reason...
Oh great so the update downloaded the HD stuff then a "hotfix" comes out and deletes it and now it's separate DLC's but since the update deleted the files this has to be downloaded again.
Oh yes, finally I can kill my already sleeping enemies!?
Reads like a lot of fixes, I like the HD textures will have to check them out this weekend!
Nice! Will have to check it out once I get home and some time.
OT but currently at hospital. Beautiful baby girl was born today!
That's some big download again
Grats AsiJu! Just don't name her Bianca, that's bad omen *looks at thread title*
Yeah +1 AsiJu.
They made a bit of a hash of the 1.4 update + DLC.
After they corrected it so the DLC is separate I started steam and it downloaded 9GB.
I restarted steam and it downloaded another 1GB but none of the DLC was added.
So I found the DLCs, added them but they wouldnt download.
After restarting steam again it is downloading another 9.2GB.
Why after they fixed it did it still go through the process of grabbing the defunct 9GB pack?
I'm well over 2hrs into trying to play it and still have to wait another 1.5 hrs !!
The patchnotes say if you have made a save with the first 1.4patch download, delete it and go back to the previous save as it could be corrupt.
The HD Textures sure look nice on a 4K display. It's also using more of GPU1 then it typically did before this update with SLI. With the right combination of settings (High to Ultra High) the framerates are decent, particularly for a slower paced game like this.
Don't worry, her name is Emma Sofia
But enough of that here, I know how annoying people rambling on about their kids can be
Btw and btt anyone noticed any perf. difference with new HD content?
Also how much VRAM does the game consume in 1080p with texture pack?
Congrats on the new little one!
I have a system with a Fury X 4GB on a 1080p screen and it seems to handle the HD Textures just fine (even if they do say you need 6GB). It dropped from ~80 FPS to ~65 FPS after enabling the HD Textures. Clothing, armor, buildings, and dirt/stone roadways are very noticeably better textures right now. For my personal preferences it was already a very pretty game, but now I would have it as the best looking game right now. Hopefully there will be mods that improve skin and hair textures at some point.
Thanks! Should be fine with 980Ti then.
Yeh KCD is very good looking game, and that it's an open world RPG too is all the more impressive.
