There are lots of awesome youtube video's showing how to do things!!!!

And the Kerbal Space Program forum's have lots of awesome things to look at >> http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum.php

I want to try making a Probe Buggy and land it on the moon and drive it around xD

There are little things hidden all over the place.. like monuments and crashed flying saucers to find : >

I got one guy to orbit the sun but shooting him so far away from the Earth that when he came back, he slingshot around and jumped out of Earth orbit completely (and forever). 30 days he's been out there, lol. Probably should have done that with a probe....

Gotta say I am loving this game, not sure how accurate the physics are but love how going in to space is a bit more than just pointing a rocket upwards and using brute force. Had to abandon my space station project, the learning curve on getting an accurate exit, align and dock was just a bit to much at this early stage.

Changed tack and have decided to aim for the Mun, tried many rocket designs, have spent quite a bit of time learning how to adjust my position in space, have lost more than a few Kerbels and finally on my tenth or so attempt.

Sol 10 orbiting the Mun, recharging batteries before module seperation.

Technically they were meant to come back, but I guess trying to navigate down on retros is maybe not the way to go.

Sol 10s rocket design is solid enough to get my guys to Duna, made it to the Mun with a stage to spare but Sol 11 will need a few tweaks.

PS I am trying to do all this with as little Youtube or reference material as possible.

Well, you made it way further than me already. All I've managed to do was send a guy into orbit around the sun...lol. Also the physics are supposed to be 100% accurate, at least the developers say.

I nearly made it to the mun but forgot solar panels so my battery depleted because I left the lights on so when I got close I couldn't do anything xD

Well at 22:23 GMT on April 26th Sol 11 touched down on the Mun.

First Kerbel out was Billy Bob Kerbel

Went down with two Kerbels leaving a third on the orbiter above the Mun. Was able to make 3 trips down and rescue and return the 3 Kerbels Stranded when Sol 10 crash landed.

A real squeaker, the last trip up the lander ran out of fuel and just managed to achieve orbit, had to navigate the orbiter in to position to rescue it for the return trip home.

    Heaps good!!!!

I'm still to have my first touchdown... I want to make a solar powered rover for the Mun before landing Kerbals xD

I've started on project Interceptor, or to put it another way, a rover to go to Duna. Test flights have not gone well, the craft is a total nightmare to control on exit from Kerbel, let alone getting it in to controlled or stable orbit.

First man in stable orbit! Only took 3 attempts and two casualties, lol.

And no way back down, unless you get out and push.

It's tricky but you can use Bill in EVA to push the capsule, key an eye on the amount of fuel he has though by hovering over his back with the mouse, you can replenish it by getting in an out of the capsule. You should do this at the highest point of the orbit(apoapsis) for the more efficient and quickest return and lower the lowest point (periapsis) into the atmosphere which is below 69Km.

What? Do orbits not decay in this game? The orbit he's running now has him just skipping over the top of the atmosphere at one point, I figured he would come back eventually.

Depends how close in the atmosphere he is, i'm not sure if it's a gradual thing or if it's a, once you reach 60km you slow down, best bet, super speed and see what happens.

They do but 94K at 2700m/s is enough to maintain a stable orbit, depends where his apoapsis and periapsis is.

Interceptor two failed to reach Duna, managed to get in to the planet's gravity well but ran out of fuel during a massive 3000m/s speed change need to get in to planetry orbit

That speed was at the apoapsis. At periapsis the height above the surface is about 80km, with a speed of like 800m/s I think.

I'm finding it really hard getting my SSTO Jet into space.. I've redesigned it now 5 times and it truly is hard trying to get the right weight/thrust/lift/speed/fuel capacity/ability to fly high and fast without rockets.. all in one package..

My best results for interplanetary ships have always been when I removed parts rather than adding more.

Is there a list of key commands? I need to move the spaceship up so that I can put more parts at the bottom.

Single click the command capsule and you should be able to move the ship freely.

Periapsis is the fastest part of the orbit and lowest, at apoapsis you'll be highest and going slowest.
