There was a previous post from a guy who shared a link with a zip file and the 3 different WD versions (Installation disc, 1day Patch, Latest Patch)...
Not sure what post number it is.. basically you just need to replace two files (dll and .exe) and delete the two "patch" files.
Hey Kadz !!! just wanna ask,ur fixed rar beta 2 mod,compatible with patch day 1 ?...

What is this mod?
Kadzait24 has created a Watch_Dogs E3 Mod that strives to bring the best gaming experience to players of Watch_Dogs.
Although still in its beta stages, the mod has already improved the graphics of the game by a substantial amount.
Including features such as an improved wind and fog system, the mod's goal is to provide gamers the original E3 2012 experience of Watch_Dogs.
None of these screenshots contain color-grading programs such as SweetFX.
Please note that screenshots may not accurately represent the first full version; the mod is still a work in progress.

It looks really great, but the sky is extremely white!
He essentially did just copy and paste from the readme.txt file into your gamerprofile.xml
Testet a bit. DOF is TOOOOO Close and Too strong. Also its static< distance is way too bloory. Headlight shadows flickers a lot. Some stuttering noticed. Havent noticed any explosion and ect changes.
this version has the most close E3 feeling to date. There's one issue about trying to achieve this, the Clear sky is not there. It will look white, like too much cloudy effect. The rest ToD's and weather conditions will actually change 200% for a better experience.
And wont work well with official patch , so dont try it there.
Can someone explain to me what the hell there is private beta and password for a simple tweak ?

So I installed the Beta2 Rar fix and wanted to give some feedback.
....Explosion at gas station "floating embers"
....Trees move correctly
....clouds moving across sky, nice
....Dof is a little blurry, dizzying at times
....Sometimes when you walk out from under an overpass the sky whites out!
....some noticeable jagged edges!
....stuttering at ultra texture. setting texture at high did get better!

your welcome, try to use the mod without patch. I will upload new videos and shots with this version of the mod soon, so people can see how it looks like.
What's wrong with him is he continues to work hard on something he's giving away freely on the internet all the while getting torn apart by every other commenter.
These are all beta as he has stated many times, the "finished" "public" version will be 1. I believe he is trying to prevent a "mod" like this from getting spread around the internet everywhere in 1 minute, meanwhile it doesn't work right isn't finished and is still buggy.
If someone came across a version of this "beta mod" without the context of this thread they would most likely be confused/upset and his name would be trashed relentlessly regardless of any future releases.
It is is frustrating but again, we are only supposed to be helping him test these out for the time being.

Way too much DoF, the E3 demo had nowhere near that amount. It does require DoF, but just not that heavy.
Vaas DoF was the best I've seen, came into play when needed and wasn't obtrusive.

Just to be clear...when you say, "use the mod without the patch", The ubisoft patch? please explain...
Im doing it my way because i think its best. Guru and FB gets spread pretty fast worldwide, at my firsts WIP people started to do comparisions like if it were something close to a final product. And a lot of people talked... etc etc etc you know the story.
This way, people can test it out and there's a lot of people anyway. And with feedback i can make it better.
Right now is having few things to improve.
The white sky wont be fixed, but i will release different mod versions with normal sky, but it will lack E3 feeling for other ToDs.
You can play whatever version you like the most at the end.
DOF , will be changed as well, but i do like this one so i will also release it. You can disable DOF anytime from game options anyway.
Actually this version has DOF at like 7 meters or so, it doesnt blurs there and does it at the back, that way i like it myself, like i said i will release several dofs, thats just DOF, you can disable it anyway. DOF doesnt have anything to do with all the stuff ive changed in this game.
That's cool, like I said, DoF is required but not in your face all the time, it should be dependent on distance imo. Nice work though fella.
I meant official patch, of course. It wont work well at all, so dont use it with official patch.

FH they are awesome!!! Whoa!
And the wind? The move of the object or trees are F. real!!! Even a car,when goes through leafs,some leafs flying around.
And the graphics (with ultra textures) are nextgen. You don't need sweet FX.

my game crash when i overwrite the patch.dat and patch.fat. he come "programm has no reaktion" by the loadscreen.
i hope you will fix that.
