i remember when i cranked my P4 2.4C up to 3.0...... those were fun times. think the highest i ever got that CPU was like.... 3.19Ghz or somethin like that.... but i don't think it ran too stable. it just couldn't get that last few mhz to get to 3.2 without probably having to do a bit higher voltage, which i didn't want to do.

Wow. Awesome Overclock. Nicely Done. Mabey you should do a overclock for me. Lol :p

EDIT - I think I may be posting this in the wrong place, sorry. My question is anybody able to make a 820 Pentium D (2.8Ghz) to something close to this, or were able to overclock that processor.

as they say..... the first processor of a certain core usually overclocks better than the later ones (my 2.4C was usually able to achieve a much higher mhz overclock than 2.6's and 2.8's of the Northwood series). don't remember if the first Prescott was 2.8 though.....

    Nice OC ;)

i can clock my p4 3.0 ghz up to 3.6 ghz and even higher but...

i can't change my multiplier. so that sux. And i can't use dividers. so that sux too. Only when i set my ddr400 to 333mhz i can overclock my cpu that high.

So now im not getting higher then 3300 mhz in the bios.

    With systool i can hit 235 fsb = 3500 mhz (1:1)

Heatspreaders do not better cool your RAM. The best thing you can do is take those heatspreaders off and have a case fan blowing cool air across your RAM. All heatspreaders do is make your RAM look good. Manufacturers are forced to put them on there because if they don't, then the average user will think that they are cheap and won't get them. I curse whoever started the whole heatspreader thing.

In addition, you have a decent overclock there. Keep pushing it and you could probably get it higher. Good luck.
