Hello everyone, just got my second console, the ps3 from a friend. im not very familiar with consoles and their games, so I wanted to ask what (preferably cheap) games that I should pick up, im interested in games that aren't available to PC. im thinking about: the uncharted series the resistance series the killzone series my friend gave me a bunch of games with the ps3, but sadly most of them i already played on PC (AC, COD,etc) I already have: god of war 3, infamous, killzone 2, resistance: fall of man, LBP. any game suggestions would be great!

Super Stardust HD (PSN Store downloadable game) Wipeout 2048/Fury (PSN Store downloadable game) Motorstorm RC (PSN Store downloadable game) Final Fantasy XIII and Tales of Graces f (if you like Japanese RPGs) Gran Turismo 5 Those are just off the top of my head!
Almost forgot Red Dead Redemption, although bear in mind that the PS3 version is slightly inferior to the Xbox 360 version graphically.
How could I forget Metal Gear Solid 4? Duh! It's actually my favourite game in the series so far. /blushes
^this, 1000 times this and you only notice the iq difference when playing ps3 & 360 in a short time period. The online coop is great fun.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I see some that I wanted to try and totally forgot about. I did try MGS2 on the PS2 and didn't like it, I see that MGS4 got 10/10 from every place, does it play like MGS2? not sure if ill like it. also, I heard people install their games on the ps3, but it never tells me to do so when I put a blu ray in. do i need to? is there any benefit of installing? going to start god of war 3 today :rock:
Heavy Rain. Completely different gaming experience. I would say it's probably the best looking game on PS3 IMHO.
As someone who tends to dislike motion controlls, Killzone 3 with move is fantastic. IF you like JRPG's, Tales of Graces (Been mentioned I think, great game so I second it) Star Ocean: The Last Hope (The version on the PS3 is superior to the 360. Just use the Japanese voices with subs).
Except the resolution, didn't notice that until I got the ps3 version after having the 360 version previously.
Not having to deal with the awful English voice acting makes it worth it, sadly. Definitely worth a buy, even if you're not a big JRPG fan imo, some of the best combat I've enjoyed in a game.
It felt like my eyes were being violated when I played RDR on PS3, not only is the IQ terrible, the frame rate is abysmal in town, it's like a slide show.
Any of the Uncharted games. Only some of the PS3 games install to the Hard drive. Also the benefits of installing to the Hard drive is to cut down on load times.
A subscription to PSN+ will net you 10 games instantly, think its £35 for a years sub, each month three of the ten games are changed so technically 43 games for your £35 as long as Sony continue the three a month trend they have going. I think the ten games that are available at the moment are: Motorstorm Apocalypse Oddworld Strangers Wrath Darksiders Infamous 2 Deus Ex Human Revolution Littlebigplanet 2 Renegade Ops Saints Row 2 Tomb Raider: Guardians of the Light Outland A good way to start your PS3 games collection. Edit: Also just to make it clear although each month three games change you keep the three games which were switched out, any free games you ever get via PSN+ can be played for as long as you stay subscribed.
