Hmm ps4 only? Assuming it is coming to PC at some point and assuming a single player story is the focus and not mp with a single player campaign tacked on at the last minute i am down.
It's a great game. Sure, it might get repetitive after a while but I liked the story missions, blowing crap up and just enjoying the scenery.
Some crazy action going on in the series. Sometimes made me laugh at how audacious it got. Looking forward to new twists on it in 4.
Ok squeenix already emailing me to preorder it..... And i might have to do it even tho the game will probably melt my video card trying to run it on max.
So, just like last time... this is being made by the "new" Avalanche studio in New York. While the main team works on another project. Before it was Mad Max, this time it's RAGE 2. Hopefully the New York team have improved their "game" so to speak, while Mad Max was a really solid PC release. Just Cause 3 was... pretty damn rough.
"Development footage. Subject to change" Idk man, I've got some serious Ubisoft downgrading PTSD symptoms following that message! :/
Mad Max is one of the best action games I've played in a long time. The hand to hand combat and vehicular combat was done flawlessly.
Engine probably needed a lot more work, Mad Max's version of it but with a lot of additions although going by their other titles like The Hunter it's progressed nicely. Publisher might be pushing for a early release though so we'll see how it runs when it comes out, it really can't do worse than Just Cause 3 though which even underperformed on consoles and I don't believe it was ever fixed. Also has issues on PC but newer hardware applies brute force and just pushed through but with some stuttering and hitching even if framerate is better than it was on the other platforms. (EDIT: Well I suppose the PS4 Pro might have helped somewhat and then the XBox One X could be able to do a good job as well also via the power of hardware and sheer force. ) EDIT: Although I guess the New York team has been working mostly on this since JC3 although engine tech might be shared and merged or improved as it comes in or is updated depending on how it's handled or branched. Not everything for Rage2 probably fits with what the engine is doing in Just Cause 4 after all but overall optimizations and improvements could be done and added and I guess they've learned from the previous game too.

JC3 was great, JC4 looks even better, which brings me to some point. Many games have basic physics, or scripted physics events, like Destiny 2, it literary have zero physics outside of scripted events. It's 2018 and this should have been addressed long time ago, still no game can rival Red Faction Guerilla, JC, and Crysis in terms of physics.
