I thought Avalanche was working on a new Mad Max game, but I would love a JC3 with updated combat mechanics!

More screenshots, some of them have visible aliasing and the level of detail or LOD range is perhaps a bit short but other than those they look quite good. :)
(Nice to see something more similar to actual game screenshots too instead of heavily downsampled and otherwise edited images.)

    EDIT:

Some more info about the game such as how water in the game is being co-developed with Nvidia and that the player has infinite C4 and can tether objects together. :D

Looks good enough and maybe it will get better as the release date comes close. Hopefully the gameplay is an improvement over 2 and not more of the same.

Just Cause 2 is still my favorite water.
You really get the feeling like you are on the boat cruising, speeding whatever

Every other great ingame water goes grand and then stumbles and fails over some of it's BASIC optical, propagating, rendering properties.
JC2 water has no glaring faults, and some of its subtleties are still unsurpassed.

Love to make a tour with helicopter or a boat. :)

wow that looks kinda bad - those air screenshots & trees and all that over saturated stuff, like I was looking at JC2 screens.. Hopefully its just some early stuff.

"Yes, it’s a very pretty game. Of course it is. I asked Avalanche if they were giving any extra love to the PC version, and they said the water is being co-developed with Nvidia, so expect some very fancy shimmering and undulating. "

    Fack.

A collection of three Twitter responses from the developers.

The game will not have a demo and there won't be a map editor, game also won't have a photo mode (At least at launch.) and there's no co-op freeroam.
