    omfg, power vs performance is really not good. Granted, drivers may help a little but still...

    Also I don't think it's great value for money when you consider what your electricity bill is going to look like. The video was a really good idea, and daaaaaaaamn girl, that is loud! It would be interesting to see how it measures up to 8800 gts sli.

    I like the idea of video clips to illustrate the noise they make.

    Good job and thats a hell of a rig too.

    It would be interesting to see how well GTS 640MB would compare against X2900 (much better option than 2x X2900 cards, less power usage, no that much noise).

    maybe it was meant to compete against the 8800ultra afterall

    on crossfire mode, the card outperforms the 8800ultra, and is about the same price right?

    HD2900XT Crossfire = $800
    8800Ultra = $800

    Rather have 1 card over 2 though, thats quiter, and uses less power.., even if it is obscenely expensive...

    8800 gts 640mb SLI = $700

    way better and quiter than 2900 CF

    Ultra won in some testes but that might be caused my bad drivers (most likely). Off topic but does anyone think that 63c idle and 89c load is a little high for my card?

    I can't see what's so bad about that, the stock 7600GT cooler is just about as loud, and alot higher pitched. That's why I replaced it after a few days.

    And I thought it was bad forcing my fan to 100%. 60db is nothing to scoff at for sure.

    I am downloading the video now and will edit this post with my impression.

    From what I can see they will be about as loud as my X1950XTX on full fan. Mind you I don't even need to pump the fan above 10% to keep the temps under 60C so it is silent to me.

    EDIT: I was right, they sound exactly the same as my X1950XTX on full fan, but my X1950XTX never gets up to full speed, or any where near so I'm happy.
