JEDEC to Enable Standard 3D Models of Electronic Components

I doubt this will work well. But we'll see.

 

Why do you think that? Although I'm not all too familiar with what's in place for electronics in CAD software, I definitely see the value in something like this. As someone who has really focused on 3D printing (and even creating a housing for a circuit board I created), I figure something like this might have made life a little bit easier.
