It's already early April and still no WHQL driver

Almost 3 month without whql. Nice work from nVidia?

ManuelG told that they will release a driver :3eyes:

Unless he meant - "It's already late, April and still no WHQL driver"

Just try the 270.51 beta, all WHQL means is that the driver has been licensed by Microsoft, or something or other. Drivers are forever in beta, doesn't matter what they put on the end of them.

WHQL means about as much as "100% beef" on a mcdonalds burger.

    270.51 are solid drivers.

Doesnt beef just mean cow? So 100% beef means 100% cow, just not neccessarily nice bits of cow.

it is still weekends for lazy driver devs to release a new one.

maybe wait another week and see what happens?

Well we just had the 270 beta so in a week/few weeks it should all going well get the WHQL treatment. Usually with absolutely no difference from the beta except the microsoft stamp of approval.

Use the 270 beta's great drivers really.

The 270 beta didn't work for me, waiting for WHQL.

same, although 270.51 worked great on Crysis 2, it failed for CoD4(MW).
Still using my 267.24's with slipatch for the moment.

ManuelG on the GeForce.com forum has already confirmed that beta drivers are usually followed by a certified driver two weeks after. We've just had the (IMO excellent) 270.51 beta drivers so it follows that we should get WHQL ones before the 14th April. The betas are so good though that I'm personally not bothered if they aren't released by then.

Really 270.51 are one of the best driver i ever had, better than 265.90q.
    Stable,fast,good iq and great compatibility.
If the whql turns out to be like this or better, then im game, i dont mind waiting.
So far this set doesnt makes me abnoxious for another driver, as its perfect for all my games.

1.. half the time the WHQL drivers are broken and a month old, if nvidia pushed WHQL drivers right now they would from last month with would be older then 270

2.. doesnt anybody remember the WHQL drivers that nvidia pushed and the drivers where causing cards to over heat because they drivers where shutting of the fan.

3..doesnt anybody use the search on this forum, this is second topic this week that was post about WHQL drivers.

    4. beta drivers are there to fix problems and provide addition options such as speed increase or quality enhancement, these option dont always make it into the WHQL drivers.

    5. same as 4, hate to be a troll but, we people that are using beta drivers get to experience DA and other games at higher framerate while people that are using jan WHQL get stuck with lower framerates . my drivers go faster then your drivers. and u can say all you want about how stable your drivers are compared to my 270.51 drivers, but I can still play my game at higher frames.

LMAO. They didn't "work" for you?? What didn't work??

Maybe a system wipe and reinstall is in order sounds like you have bigger problems than the drivers. They work great for me. WHQL doesn't mean anything anymore, the betas are usually better drivers.

The latest Beta's are nice but they didn't stop my Crysis 2 from crashing with the file errors of the drivers. I can play Warhead for hours on the card so I know damn well it's not the cards problem but the drivers!

    God damn drivers nvidia.

Anyone with a gtx 460 that tried these drivers?
    Are they any good?

In games like just cause 2 i get low frames and unusually high gpu usage when i look at certain terrain like flower fields and stuff.

What a useless thread IMO. Why sit and speculate, I want facts.
