Is my GTX 280 too hot?

    All of you who idle at ~50c + check out is your card running 2D clocks when on desktop.
    If running 3D mode on desktop then it will heat up like 5-8c then it should in 2D mode.

    @NeriuZ,

    People already answered enough, 100c + with fan at 100% is too high.
    XFX will probably tell ya it's ok cause the card can take up to 115c or what ever.
    But do you think it's ok to have all that heat inside your case ?
    280 shouldn't go above 80c under heavy load and fan ~70% or soo in some normal ambient.

    My card idles ~42-45c fan at "duty cycle" ~40-45%, and the game that heats it up the most is Crysis, after playing it for like an hour or so it tops at ~72-76c ( Idle/load depending on the room temp. ) with fan ~70%

    I'd RMA the card if your case airflow or such isn't an issue.
