Is my 9700K and 2080 Ti faulty? Weird fps drops before restarting game Assassin Creed Oddysey

Hi. Today it happened,when i launch game from ubi store,AC Oddyssey.
In Athens i was getting fps drops from 80fps to 45fps and again to 80fps. Gpu load drops from 95% to 50% many times.
In next location ( forest ) the same drops.

I restarted game and its fine. Any ideas why that happened and why i had to restart game? Why fps was randomly fluctuating between 40fps-80fps? 40-80fps up and down. I restarted game and its ok.

It was game issue or my pc?

 

i hear people saying to downgrade to 442.59 for ACO

 

You on a SSD ? I have 9700k stock - RTX2080 @ 2560x1080 and 445.98 driver fps locked @ 85 not getting any drops in Athens.

 

yeah ssd. The same happened on my previous pc with 9900K with 2080 TI. Now 9700K with 2080 Ti and i am getting random fps drops and gpu usage drops to 55fps from 80fps for a 1 second in Athens.I am using only msi afterburner + RTSS. All other programs closed.

So you have locked 85fps with Rtx 2080? What settings?

 

I turned off UPLAY during game and its ok now. Heh weird
