Being an owner of the standard Pixel 6, just get ready for a pretty sub-par fingerprint scanner experience. Otherwise, it'll be fine.

Got the Pixel 7 to replace my LG V60. Finger sensor is fast. Face unlock is a bit funky. But besides that. I'm enjoying the phone.

Most under screen fingerprint scanners offer a subpar experience.... Most of the time, I end up using a passcode on my S20 because the fingerprint scanner absolutely sucks.

What does that have to do with the Pixel 6a the OP is considering buying?

We got the Pixel 6a at work as a software dev platform. If you'd like me to test something you'd like to try out before buying just tell me.

@ern88 Your V60 is still in excellent shape? LG G8s here and I like LG phones. The V60 was my favorite, but not available at the time I needed to buy one, so I went for the G8s instead.

Install CalyxOS and test the camera and photos done with it?

I don't know if I can get the device for that. But I'll try. How do I flash stock Android back afterwards? Any trustworthy sources? :)

@anticupidon Devs refused to let me flash another OS. I am sorry. Is there anything else I could test?

I assumed as much. Could you kindly test the camera in low light conditions?
And ask if you can "extract" the GCam .apk from the OS.

Until actually buying the thing, I flashed Lineage OS 19 on a Poco F1. Installed GCam and pictures are quite good.

Well, the best way to resurrect a old thread.
Someone offered me a 6 months old Pixel 6A for 225€.
Planned for a while to upgrade from Pixel 4a, to another Pixel. The way I see it, it's killing two birds with one stone.
    Cheap upgrade and no e-waste.

    So, should I?

Bought it, let's see if it is as good as the seller claims to be.
Time to retire, resell my trusty Pixel 4a.

    Well, that is a first.
Seller just canceled the order and doesn't want to sell and send the item.
Well, my money will be refunded in a week time, let's see it being wired to my account.
Asked the seller why, he claimed to have some problems, personal issues.
Why he accepted the transaction in the first place?
I am baffled. Or maybe I dodged a bullet here.

For that price the Pixel 6A can be bought for new on eBay. It's a rock solid phone and highly recommend.
