Is it safe to play on downclocked cpu

    So like it says is it safe? Because i play online game quite often it dont need cpu power that much. And on downcloked i get like 40w tdp difference. I dont want to make any damage to cpu fought lol :program:

    you shouldn`t damage it, all you`re doing in effect is running a lesser cpu, so the worst that will happen is a system crash i would have thought

    totally safe. Akin to asking whether it's safe to always use 20% throttle when driving....yes, but WHY!!?

    U ask why my last month bil for electricity was like omg.. And now it is 30% more cost per 1kw so it.s gg trying to save as much as i can :bang:

    I have been underclocking my gpu for the past 1 year using rivatuner to the lowest possible clocks (core/shader/memory: 300/750/450) from the default 600mhz clock. Working fine. Saves yeah about 25w, lessens psu load and runs 1C cooler. Before gaming I overclock it to get the maximum potential out of it.
