Also, if you want to make sure you are buying games from legit sites only, you can use this search engine:

Stopped buying from G2A too.I bought a win 8.1. key with shield on.After i read about some of the keys not working and stolen i wanted to conntact the seller if the key is retail or OEM before i use the key so i wrote to support. After two weeks (yeah thats with they shield) i got an answer with the same stalling tactic as seen in a couple of posts above. They wanted proof the key is not working but i didnt want to use the key so i can refund if its OEM.All theyr answers came after 2weeks forcing me to use the key so after 2 months long comunication i opened a claim on paypal after they didnt answer opened claim and after a mont G2A still no answer i got my money from PP back.So much to G2A shield buyer protection. They protect shady sellers instead of buyers :puke2: .

It sounds crazy but it's better for both us and developers that we pirate the games than buy them from G2A, if those were our only choices.
Obviously I'm not advocating piracy, just making a point.

I mostly use cdkeys. They've delivered every key pretty much instantly. Around 50 transactions. GMG are good btw, but I've had some issues with them being slow to send keys.

Never had GMG be slow sending keys unless its a pre-order. Usually its instant.

Yeah, I meant pre-orders. I've had to cancel a couple of pre-orders from GMG because they were slow sending the key. Other than that, they're solid.

GMG is usually only slow on pre-orders because they're given a certain number of keys on release day and run out rather quickly.

To buy and resell keys from software companies you need to be a trusted reseller aka partner with said company, not every tom, dick and harry can resell keys, plus you have to give out your companies details and personal Info to the software license distributor to be handed any keys.

This whole "developers are losing money when people buy from third party sites" Is an Invalid statement. My two cents.

Unless it's G2A which is basically a scummy company taking advantage of gamers and developers.

Games are expensive for me due the exchange rate, but there is a lots of good steam traders from mexico (mexico is like russia has "special prices" on steam). So a AAA release that cost 60u$d i can get it for 30 - 40u$D but they are region locked only latam.
I stay away from G2A and those sites, in my opinion are worse than piracy.

    GOG or Steam !

I take you haven't seen when G2A makes the news? Developers tend to always lose whenever they're involved. Currently it's Gearbox, in the past it has been Ubisoft.

You mean the news which Is controlled by those greedy game publishers, that charge 60$ for every AAA game and In turn leave the crumbs for the developers!?... (No wonder why we have disasters like No Man's Sky, and un polished crap like MEA, Batman etc....... (cutting corners) sounds familiar?)

Sure, lets just Ignore the actual facts and bully that ambitious kid (G2A) who's trying to get a piece of the pie.

That being said, G2A Is a platform for digital key resellers, If one of those "reseller's" Is questionable, It doesn't make the entire platform Illegitimate.

Personally I got scammed on Amazon by one merchant, and I got my money back, G2A Is no different.

(by the way, im pretty sure a games blog post isn't controlled by the evil mass media)

Don't use g2a, just pirate instead if you can't afford a legit key.

And there's a whole saga between punchclub devs and g2a

I have bought a few games from G2A and never had a problem. I have never bought the shield on any of them and have never needed it. The games all worked instantly and none have ever stopped working. I think most of the stuff being spread about them is nothing but FUD probably sponsored by the competition or developers. I always paid with PayPal and yeah, there was a very minimal fee attached. Nowhere near what even sales tax would be from a brick and mortar store.

I also bought an OEM key for Windows 7 from Kinguin and was able to activate it with the Microsoft phone activation. It is still working fine.

The trick is to not be a tool by giving G2A money, there are other places to get software.

If they have the lowest price, I'll use them again.

I really don't know where the game keys come from but I do know that the Windows OEM keys are legitimate keys sold to PC builders who got out of that business for some reason and are now selling off the unused keys. Microsoft activation wouldn't work if they were not legitimate.
