    Hello!

I saw a very nice 'performance guide' that Von Dach made here - http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=327922
at some point he suggests: "Remove AMD CCC.exe from automatic startup and/or kill process CCC.exe & MOM.exe before gaming (single card & CrossFireX)"
now, I searched around and couldn't find an answer anywhere on the net, so here goes: Is CCC needed to be running in order for my Gaming/Video settings to take effect? Or applying the changes then quitting/killing the service works just fine?

Very good question I would assume he is right especially if your overclocking with Msi afterburner etc and or not using custom profiles. I would also like to bump for better knowledge as well.:) I will test and see for myself today.

Im a minimalist and have never found a use for it, so I don't even bother to install it. I've played all the latest games for years without problems.

there have bin a few occasions I wish I could force morphological filtering, but really that's it.

its not needed, custom game settings apply without it, CCC is the control center, not the apply-center (maybe OC does).

I only start it when i (not usually) change settings.

    I install it tho
