I installed the newest VIA ide drivers and it screwed my whole computer over now when I try to install a new driver 1 piece of the old driver stays and causes a conflict with the newly installed driver. I can't uninstall the confliting driver or change the irq or even disable it. If anyone know how to change a ide controller irq in xp or how to delete a stubborn piece of hardware without reinstalling OS I would greatly appretiate it. Thanx alot. Laaaaate
WHy do you need to change an IRQ in XP. It is capable of using multiple IRQ's. BUt there really isn't a way to do it through XP, but you can go into bios and possibly do it there.
