I wouldn't call a game that gets well over 100fps on a mid range processor "CPU intensive". Also, only that and World of Warcraft gave Intel the distinct advantage. Arkham asylum was basically the same for all CPU's.

But really, this is just beating a dead horse, we all know Nehalem is faster. But we also all know it's not that much faster in 90% of gaming scenarios.

@ice445: Hence why there are plenty of people still sitting on a Q6600.

If you're dumb enough to buy a gateway, losing $50 is the least of your problems. the OP used the right wording to piss people off. I'm only seeing this on prebuilt stuff.

It's not that bad. Look at the instructions. You just run the application and enter a pin. I guarantee someone like the skidrow crew or razor will code up a keygen in no time. Different cracks for different processors. I'm def not paying lol.

Meh, not everyone wants to build their own. Buying a prebuilt doesn't make you dumb, it just makes you lazy.

If they take the enthusiasm out of being an enthusiast, it will cost them.
I get a lot of fun and a big kick out of overclocking mine and friends systems.
Hopefully Bulldozer will put an end to this.

This is an additional kick for HW market which is already rushes to hell on a godspeed. First, they killed Kenny PC software and gaming, now they're gonna kill the very essence of PC -HW. Why? Because "no one is interested or cares". True PC guys always were a minority. Everyone else turned out to be "just geeks" who will do just fine with MACs\overpriced crap\drm\whatever*

*there is a thin layer of sarcasm spread over this post

Well presumably the software unlocks the hardware, so it's a one off use and never needed again, should be able to figure out a way to send the unlock instruction to the CPU.

    v1.1: added 20 multi-threading unlock keys, 10 +150Mhz keys, 5 +200Mhz keys &
    single +350Mhz key

How would you know that's high if you don't know what the processors are upgrading from and to?
