AIB for low entry + OEM only...
I wasn't expecting a RTX 3090 or 6900XT killer of course but i feel it is not too good for Intel's start on GPU segment...

I think this is the correct approach, rather than release a full discrete desktop card that is bound to fail. At least this gives them time to sort out their drivers (Cyberpunk 2077 has only just started working after latest driver) and get some products out there.

It'll be interesting to see what they can do when they ramp-up the specs in the future. I'm already intrigued by the performance of small laptop/handhelds like the GPD Win 3, which in all honesty isn't too far from what I'd like in a handheld Win10 machine.

Sounds just like the AMD and Nvidia cards.

This was supposed to be their cutting edge product and compatitor to AMD/NV?
A GPU that is barely faster than the PS4 from 10y ago?

If they pull GTX 1060 performance it will be miracle of the decade .

GTX 1060 at 70$?? :D ,that would change a game.

The PS4 (and the XBox One too btw) were never fast at all

Looks when you buy your GTX 1060 off wish and get a GTS 450.

I'm sorry, but this is just that.

It can't compete in DIY market, hence OEM only. We'll be lucky if it gets benched/reviewed.

Well entry level has the majority of the sales ... On the other hand almost in every case in this category of the market integrated graphics are just fine .

ofcourse this wont be a flagship card, that will be too risky, they are taking the right approach.

This card is effectively to test the manufacturing process and driver stack to ensure it all goes well and to iron out any bugs.

Other companies have done similar 'tests' before, like AMD did with the 4770 (40nm). Ofcourse intel is going it from he ground up, but its sense-able in every way.

I am really looking forward to future offerings.

Player 3 has entered the game.

Intel need to hurry up, there's a market starving for GPUs and the first one to offer supply wins. 640 shaders for an entry level "I need a picture to display" card is expected, but I hope they enter the mid range market this year... and not pull a monumental hyper-douchebag move like putting 10GB on a card while charging for 30GB.

That's exactly what i expected : Starting with the segment with the highest volume, totally understandable.

Intel already sold a supercomputer to the US government a while ago, requiring Intel CPUs plus Intel GPUs. Obviously that computer is still waiting to be built, yet Intel needs to deliver on schedule. That's where their top priority lies, not in gaming GPUs. Those will come eventually.

This is just their entry level GPU, so it´s no meant to be very powerful.

And they already announced bigger and better versions to be released in the future, so we need to wait.

If they can produce something on par with the 3060, i think that´s going to be a very good start for them.

Nvidia and amd always start with the high end. I expected a beafy gpu showcase from intel not a oem gt1030 competitior, eh.

How good or bad do we think this is going to be? Will it be overpriced like most intel products?
