If it manages to get on RX580 level for gaming, that would be good enough.

Probably will perform and compete the best for computing while being aimed for professionals.

I do hope that is an example of a lower end model.

Interesting design, it looks different of course. The more competitors the better.

They STILL haven't figured out that blower design is inferior in all 100% of cases?

Thats a bold and inaccurate comment.

I'll give you one right off the bat... dead tech or not, SLI benefits better from blowers. Hence why it was popular to go reference for SLI.

I do have hope that they know what they are doing, bc when I had Broadwell i7 5775c and used it in gaming it was fast enough for 1080p gaming with 60fps plus in some cases. And this was iGPU, so separate unit definitely can do better. Bigger, more complex...maybe Intel will surprise us all...

It looks different and interesting because it's some random fans concept art.

Good point, but someone at intel must like it to select it for show.

At the end of the day it does not matter what it looks like but how it performs.

Blowers perform worse overall but they're actually a decently effective design in multi-GPU setups. Seeing as this is a server/workstation GPU, there's a good chance many of these will be used in a single system, or at least some other PCIe card might be there to block the fan.

It was confirmed as what the article states - it's a community submitted concept piece.

The size of the concept card doesn't worry me, considering you have mini editions of pretty much all the GPUs from the likes of ZOTAC and they're pretty cool (if you can stomach little to no OC potential). If Intel can bring decent performance with a good price/performance ratio, they'll be on the right path. Nobody is expecting a new high-end king out of nowhere.

News flash!!!!! It is going to look like an expansion card!!! It may even have a pci express connector, video outputs, and a fan!! o_O

So it is fake, then. Hmmmm....nothing released officially by Intel for an actual product of any kind. We seem to be headed toward new types of vaporware these days...;) I note that the thing looks as though it might melt in its own heat! I see the interesting little vents, of course. Wow--"fan concept art" for new GPUs. Alrighty, then....next perhaps we will see fan-created benchmarks...?
