    It's so quiet in here. ah! I see why. This financial report essentially curb stomped all the usual suspects and all their claims of Intel being on the ropes, etc over the past year.

    I do not think that did fly. Since start of Zen production I warned people multiple times that AMD is too small and can't really produce enough of chips to do meaningful damage to intel.

    AMD gaining 4% in HEDT, 2% in server, 0.3% in notebooks, IIRC. That's not going to make a dent. Especially since intel kept high prices while improving yields over time.

    Then, there was not need for year long results, each quarter said similar thing.

    But AMD did win 2018 in a way. They won in mindshare. With exception of fanboys/illiterates, AMD's CPUs are no longer considered trash or "poor man's solution".
