People should not be forced to smile for the photo. Looks so forced then.

That's typical for any business sector. Aka the business smile, or my favourite - the business laugh at some exhibition.

Everyone hates everyone, but you need to act the opposite.

Yes, but here it is striking. I see smile on face which tells very different story.

If you saw my pictures from a meeting, where I have to force a smile. I look like a schizophrenic there.

Browse through some small/medium sized business websites, and check the "our team" tab. There are sometimes priceless pictures there.

My business photo is from time I was 6 y/o. And I am just smiling there.
But some would say: "Fake smile and Sharp teeth."

Getting promoted for making money off of little to no innovation? Of course they get promoted, they created billions out of nothing :D

Guys if you don't know these people and have never met them in real life don't make assumptions about their character....

Do you know what they did at their job? What are you basing this on? You realize that actions of people at a company are not the same as the company itself right?

What are you basing your argument on that they did not? How about you bring some arguments to the discussion in the first place, since your question can very well be thrown back at you with nothing but a simple shrug.

Holthaus was responsible for marketing and certainly helped shape Intel's marketing campaigns, PR work, and definately had her fingers in many things we saw and read about Intel products during the last years.
McNamara definately has the least of interaction with anything I personally saw, read, bought or heard of Intel since he was working in a different field than what we consumers usually get (if I was able to read Hilbert's post correctly).
Stabinsky is a big player in Intel's law department. I guess it's save to assume he was asked "can we do that?" on more than one occasion during his time at Intel. Especially when consulted by the Sales and Marketing group.

So even if none of them might have given Intel's general direction, or had a voice in any discussion about how Intel works in the fields of technical marketing (decisions like if to screw a chipset / socket each year or of how many cores Intel's supposed to put on the consumer platform), they sure helped make it happen.

The one on the left is giving a "are you kidding me?" look.
The one on the right looks like he hates his life.
The one in the center looks like he's in pain and is trying hard to hide it.

    oh my stars and garters!

this is the freaking Peter Principle at work. these are the people (directly) responsible for some of the worst decisions Intel has ever made. and for puffing out B.S. to cover for mistakes.

the last three years have been nothing but a parade of boneheads in charge of incredibly talented engineers.

Intel, please stop making marketing decisions that should be engineering decisions. you end up saving money and not being surprised by hungrier engineers.

TSMC has just stolen the microprocessor crown, both in output and in technology. yeah, yeah, a lot of that is contract work - but guess who's now trying to get some of that delicious pie...yup, Intel.

But I'm not saying that. I'm saying that I don't know. That nobody here knows and that anyone pretending otherwise is lying to themselves. For some reason people on the internet these days are afraid to not have an opinion about something or to not know something. "I don't know" is a perfectly ok position to have when the facts are not known as they are here.

Complaining about my opinion, then stating that for some reason people are afraid of having one... okay.

Reread. My post clearly states "afraid to not have an opinion". You even quoted it.....

How does one has no opinion? Is it via some mind-blanking method? I see color, I know that I like it or dislike it, or that I am indifferent to it. But all of those are opinions.
I see desk and I have dozen of opinions about build quality, longevity, usability, looks, ...
It is automatic process of evaluating and forming response.

IIRC Dodo had no proper pathways to form certain "opinions" and therefore it did not poses ability to react/comprehend certain situations. I do not think you are asking people to have that kind of mind-blanking.
But you are apparently asking people to shut down part of their brain. Maybe people with IQ 40 have low enough processing power and are unable to actually think about things at level which allows one to form opinion.
