    Looks like Intel Is the one that decides when the market needs to shift to 8 cores not the other way around.

    4 core chips are far from dead.

    Really happy Intel went back to consumer motherboard support. The E3-1230 v6 is a great cpu which costs $50 less than the i7 7700 and gives you the 4 cores and 8 threads.
