Ive not used an Intel CPU since leaving my 2700k behind for a Ryzen 3800x, but its interesting that Intel chose the mix of cores route for innovation rather than say stacking cache as AMD have done with the X3D chips.

If I lived in a really cold place, like Norway or Alaska, this would be my CPU!... :D

AMD's offerings still make more sense (to me).
I don't see the issue with temps/power for my use, mostly gaming really.

Considering our energy prices are going up by 100 percent in just a few months, this thing would be just far too expensive to run for what it offers.

One of my 14900KF's,I would say 14900KS could do better.

Copy of a post I made on the forum
Opps 14900KF Forgot I had LLC 6 on Asus Board 475 Watts before downclock and no crash lol.
Had Temperature set to 115℃ and was seeing how many watts these 14900's can use.Just using AIO 360MM maybe need chiller or phase change

OC it and pair it up with a 4090. 2000w PSUs could be the norm one day.

Don't forget the cost of electricity - Norway is an excellent choice but I'd swap Alaska for North Dakota, which can sometimes be just as bitterly cold but it's often the cheapest state for electricity costs (whereas Alaska is surprisingly expensive).

Also, just thought I'd throw this in here:
Hmmm.... Looks like I was right about my doubts.
This is why you don't just simply trust people without any evidence of their credentials.

I am acknowledging there is still time for Intel to step in and wipe this product off the map, but it seems to me at this rate, that's not happening.

Wow 9 years to upgrade. But it has to be said the 2700k was a terrific chip. I'm sure you had it running @5Ghz. So no need to upgrade for such a long time.

I got to tell you you are absolutely out of your league here and completely wrong on your assumptions. I find it very rude and insulting that you think that i have to prove anything to you , i don't have to ; ) so get off your high horse and stop with the i need credentials BS. You have no reason at all to try and damage my reputation. I do not care or give AF if you need credentials or not , stupidity 101 as it best right here.

Everyone in the industry and here at Guru3d who has been long enough knows exactly who i am and what i have done and where i have worked except you !... ( pick and choose much ! )

As for the release of this bastard cpu i cannot comment since i'm strictly under nda ( enough said ). Will comment once the release of this cpu is done and my nda is over if i feel or want to.

Very weird that you keep bashing me for credentials / proff and you could not find anything on the web , lier ! you did not search anything about me , if you did one of the first results will be of one of my interviews done by the overclocker magazine to me a long time ago. Proff you ask ?
Page 6-7-8-9 long interview for your pleasure ;) . Now search for swiftech reviews and you shall find some of my reviews that i wrote for them a very long time ago , go to hwbot and search my name , look for my sponsors ( was sponsor and worked with Intel , Asus , MSI , Swiftech , Klngpln ( also very good friend for over 20 years ) ( also ASRock is currently my only sponsor at the moment and i'm working with them right now ) i have been working on some motherboards to be release very soon by Asrock for a while now but again i'm under nda cannot talk about it yet until is release , you will see soon.

    https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/swiftech-komodo-r9_le-review-part-1-of-2.389139/

and plenty more reviews from me , again you lied and did not do any search on my background ( credentials as you called it . Nothing more to say to you ) You will stop the bashing and lack of respect for people like me who has been on this industry for 20+ years right now , got it ? or do i make you a little map ?

    With love: Chispy

Yeah i had it at 5ghz and with 16gb of RAM and a 1080Ti it was a beast of a rig but my work rotations were 12 weeks away and four weeks at home for a few years so just wasn't worth the upgrade time. Out that four weeks i was unwinding for the first week, holiday the second week, drunk for the third week then the last week was prep for going back to work.

The horse I'm riding ain't that high - I just think it's necessary to call people out when they're assertively making a bold statement. All I was saying is there's no compelling reason to believe you are more trustworthy than Hilbert. Considering you were wrong here despite your "insider knowledge", I would think it's you who is out of your league.
As I said last time, if trust is to be earned, you need to be transparent. If you find it insulting that I can't just blindly trust you, I suggest you get a reality check.
Exactly who you are, eh? I'm sure you could count on 1 hand the amount of people in these forums who, without looking it up, know your name, where you're from, where you've worked, your achievements, etc.
Yup, and I will prove to the world that I am Batman!
As I pointed out in the comment I linked to:
"I wouldn't even know you're one of the top overclockers because I have no idea how to even look you up beyond googling "chispy overclock", and that's assuming I would have a reason to do that. "
So, even in doing that, there are few issues:
First and most importantly: that search does not result in your magazine article. Again: how am I supposed to know to search for that?
Secondly: the top result of searching "chispy overclocker magazine" results in a Guru3D article with only two people who commented. I wouldn't consider you being "well known" in that regard.
Last but not least, I didn't find anything giving you credibility today, even if I search for you by your first and last name, with or without "chispy", with or without keywords like "Intel" or "ASRock".
Sponsorship means nothing about having internal knowledge. "Working on some motherboards" is interestingly vague, as it doesn't imply you have knowledge of to-be-released products.
In any case, I anticipate your to-be-released info.
I will stop when you actually give this community a reason to trust you. Writing on a bunch of forums and having your claim to fame over a decade ago are not compelling reasons for me to obey your trust.
