it's all about cooling my friend if you cool your cpu enough then you can up it very high but normal is about 1.55v I would say for normal cooling watter you could do 1.65 and maybe little more depends everything how good the cooling is.
    Good Luck

I agree. I do not like more then 1.6 on water, but I have gone 1.63 in bios for 3.825 on e6600. Good luck man!

Intel spec the Core2 architecture to fully support 1.65v, however the heat will kill it. Thus they are wrinting 1.325v max on the cpu box because their stock cooler will support this voltage-->temps produced on the other end.

I find 1.4v quite doable whit a good air cooler

Yeah I have currently 1.425V @ 3.4Ghz. Perfectly stable. Temps are also great atm.

What are your other various voltages?

    DDR2? MCH, ICHIO, etc.

    Thanks.

What about TAT for your temps, idle and 30min Orthos?

    For me 3.3ghz at 1.36v
    Idle 48 [TAT]
    Load 62 [TAT]

No, could just be setting in your mobo at the wrong place.
Higher PCIe speed, 100mhz vs 110. Or HT link from 200 to 220.
I found this would help whit FSB over 1200.

Add voltage on the mobo. Over 3.ghz get tricky for a nice and stable oc. Need to be fine tuned.

Ya I never fiddled with the PCIe speed. I'll try it. I can manage 3.3ghz at high voltage but don't like to run like that all the time.
